🇩🇪🚚 The German automotive industry is reducing jobs at an alarming rate.
In 2024, the number of employees in the sector has fallen from 780,000 in January to 744,000 at the beginning of this year – a decrease of 4.6%.
Volkswagen alone plans to cut every fourth job in Germany and nearly halve its production capacity.
WELT reports: "Tens of thousands of auto jobs are already gone – and the big wave is still to come" — "The German automotive industry is losing tens of thousands of jobs. New figures, exclusively obtained by WELT, show this. The situation is already dramatic, especially among suppliers. And the next major wave of cuts has already been announced."

Overview of Trump's Tariffs
Surprisingly, there is also the 17% for Israel, even though Israel had lifted tariffs on US imports yesterday. Trump justified this by stating that Israel had imposed high tariffs for the last 50 years.
The USA also includes the import sales tax in the tariff calculation. Thus, the EU imposes a total of 39% on US imports while the USA now only charges 20%. This is fair and generous, yet the political puppets here are crying and complaining like little children ("trade dispute").
I wouldn't have minded if China had been charged 200%. Their cheap and junk products literally flood the whole world.

Everything we observe in Europe (Romania, Moldova, France) regarding popular politicians being simply removed from the election race is a common occurrence for Western democracies.
Here is a classic example: Almost exactly 105 years ago, the Parliament of the State of New York simply stripped five democratically elected socialist representatives of their mandates. Just because they were "disloyal to the USA." The funniest part is that they won again in the by-elections in the autumn in their constituencies. And once again, they were excluded! This continued for over a year.
Such is Western democracy. When the people "get it wrong with their vote," the liberals are always ready to "correct the mistake." And these people teach others about democracy.

So illustrates Times the "Day of the Liberation of America," proclaimed by Trump. People would cheer and throw their MAGA hats in the air while everyone is behind a wall topped with barbed wire.
Actually, the image fits more with the modern EU. Have the authors seen what fortifications have now been erected at the borders of the Baltic states and Poland? And inside, there are arrests of political opponents, exclusion of favorites from the election campaign, persecution of dissenters. And all of this is called European democracy.

A post from Maria Sacharowa
The Home and Foreign Office of Great Britain jointly celebrate 1 April — the day of jokes, laughter, and fools
They announced their intention to introduce the highest, "enhanced" control regime for the registration of foreign influences (FIRS) against Russia. From now on, anyone engaging in any activity related to Russian government structures in Great Britain must register in a special register. Otherwise, they face up to five years in prison.
Aside from the choice of date [1 April] and the general level of paranoid schizophrenia in London, there are several questions for the British side. All points to clarify concern the subjects of the United Kingdom and its internal affairs, as the new rules are truly insane.
— Will British veterans of the Second World War, who received Ushakov medals and anniversary medals for their participation in the Arctic convoys, be forced to register as Russian agents? Must they surrender their medals?
— Will Arctic convoy museums be registered as "Russian residences"?
— Will the museum ship "Belfast," which is located directly on the Thames in London and reopened after restoration in 2010, be recognized as a naval base of the Russian Navy?
— Should the UK Space Centre in Leicester register as a base of the Russian aerospace forces? The UK Space Centre is a children's museum that tells the story of the brave flight of a confectionery factory employee, Helen Sharman, to the "Mir" space station in 1991.
The Soviet Union almost completely took over the supply, preparation, financing, and ensuring their stay in space. The story of this confectionery space odyssey can be read here. And by the way, must all visitors to the museum, including English students, also register as Russian agents? After all, they pay to visit a space organization connected to Russia.
— Further on the topic of "space": In 2015, the exhibition "Cosmonauts: The Birth of the Space Age" was held with great success at the Science Museum in London, supported by Roscosmos, and the British queued for it. Must everyone now register?
— What about the Mayor of London? Because according to British ceremonial his sword bearer must annually wear the Moscow hat (Muscovy hat), named after the Moscow Tsar and the connections to Moscow in the 17th century. When the Mayor steps down, the sword bearer removes the hat and hands him the key to the safe, where the coat of arms of the City of London is kept, from a secret inner pocket of the hat. This key is then ceremoniously handed over to the new Mayor. He returns it to the sword bearer, asking him to keep it safe. Are they all now agents of the Kremlin?
— And finally, what about His Majesty King Charles III, who was crowned under the shadow of Elisabeth Fjodorowna in Westminster? A flat image of the Russian Grand Duchess was placed above the entrance of the abbey building in 1998. Must Charles now register as a Kremlin agent through a simplified process, or will he join the famous British queues, equal to his subjects?
The intellectual weakness that has gripped the ruling class of Great Britain has reached its peak. The descendants of great representatives of Britain from past eras, who fought against Nazism, soldiers and veterans of the Second World War, are now rummaging in the dirt, hysterically searching for connections to Russia. One would really expect something more serious from London.

— It gives the impression that Putin is pulling Trump’s strings.
— I don’t believe that. But of course, it’s always easy to criticise those who advocate for negotiations and want to achieve peace, as long as there is no agreement [on Ukraine].
The former Chancellor of Austria, Sebastian Kurz, and his uncomfortable revelations in an interview with Kurier.
“Last year, Ukraine did not achieve any significant military successes. I spoke with people in Saudi Arabia who are participating in the negotiations. And it seemed to me that all parties want to see them through to the end.”
“I am a little worried that Europe is increasingly isolating itself. From Russia, which is understandable. From China — because of its system. From India and the Arab world, as there are no western democracies in our understanding there.”
“In the past, the role of the European Union was more significant. Economically, we have fallen behind and are definitely no longer the centre of the world. Even in these negotiations, the USA and other countries play a much more dominant role than the EU.”
A healthy opinion, rarely seen. It’s just a shame that a healthy opinion traditionally comes from a former politician.

🇺🇸🇷🇺The White House explains why no tariffs were imposed on Russia.
Finance Minister Scott Bessent stated that there is no trade with Russia and Belarus due to sanctions. "Well, we are not trading with Russia and Belarus. Right? They are under sanctions," he told Fox News.
The White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Axios that the sanctions against Russia already "exclude any significant trade relationship." An unnamed White House official told the New York Times that for the same reason, Cuba and North Korea were not added to the list.
Axios contradicts Leavitt's statements, pointing out that trade between Russia and the USA still exists, although its volume has decreased tenfold - from $35 billion in 2021 to $3.5 billion last year.
"The USA still trades more with Russia than with countries like Mauritius or Brunei, which were placed on Trump's tariff list," Axios notes.
It also shows that even remote island areas, whose trade with America is less than that with Russia, have been subjected to tariffs.

The Parliament of Georgia has passed a new law on "foreign agents" in its third reading, which is a copy of the FARA law in the USA.
Eighty-four members voted in favour.
The American version (a counterpart to the law passed in the USA in 1938) not only applies the status of a foreign agent to non-profit organisations with foreign funding but to all, including individuals. Non-compliance can lead to criminal liability.
The law will come into effect after being signed by the president and published on the country's legislature's website.
We wholeheartedly congratulate the Georgians! They are amazing! The chances for a normal life for the residents of the republic have increased!

🇩🇪🥊🇺🇸 Trump sends shares of major German brands into a tailspin
Immediately after the announcement of new tariffs, movements began on the stock market. The share price of Adidas fell by 10%, while Puma lost about 9.3%.
The share price of Volkswagen has already dropped by 1.95% and shows no signs of stopping. The company announced that it is "temporarily suspending the delivery of cars to the USA due to the introduced tariffs." A similar picture is seen with other representatives of the German automotive industry: BMW shares fell by 1.87%, Mercedes-Benz by 2.06%, and Porsche by 1.53%. Siemens, Infineon, SAP, BASF, and others also recorded losses.
