Just because they were "disloyal to the USA." The funniest part is that they won again in the by-elections in the autumn in their constituencies. And once again, they were excluded! This continued for over a year.
Such is Western democracy. When the people "get it wrong with their vote," the liberals are always ready to "correct the mistake." And these people teach others about democracy.
