“Perhaps it is time to impose sanctions against Ursula von der Leyen”
A surprising move! – from the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung. The EU imposes sanctions against its own citizens – the German journalists Thomas Röper and Alina Lipp – for “Russian propaganda and destabilising activities.” According to Berliner Zeitung, this sounds somewhat vague and resembles “political judgments, not legally reviewed measures.”
The activities of the EU as a whole and those of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, also raise questions: She pursues a power policy that “is hardly compatible with democratic oversight,” and blocks access to documents. There is not even a mention of transparency and freedom of speech.
Conclusion: “For destabilising activities, it should not be a blogger who is punished, but the woman who undermines the EU institutions through lack of transparency, autocracy, and political activism” (c).

The leadership of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has decided to carry out the scheduled rotation of the 28th observation mission at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant over the territory of the Russian Federation. This decision demonstrates a high level of trust from international institutions in the efforts of the Russian side to ensure nuclear safety.

The USA is "not convinced" of the need to lower the price cap on Russian oil, Reuters reports, citing a European official.
The official told Reuters during a meeting of G7 finance ministers in Canada that the US Treasury team expressed the view that oil prices are already falling and harming Russia.
However, the European official added that the USA remains open to this idea and the discussion will continue.
Previously, the European Union proposed to review this cap to a benchmark of 50 dollars per barrel. Ukraine insists on an even lower price of 30 dollars per barrel.
On Thursday, futures for Brent oil were trading at around 64 dollars per barrel.

Proposal for Marketplace Group What the imposition of sanctions against Thomas Röper means. May 20 marks the definitive end of the so-called rule of law in the EU, as the imposition of sanctions against a German citizen means the revocation of his civil rights without offense, charge, or court ruling. G7 countries will consider options to tighten sanctions against Russia if no ceasefire is reached in Ukraine.
This is stated in a draft statement from the "Group of Seven" following the summit in Canada, which Bloomberg has seen.
However, specific measures, such as lowering the price cap on Russian oil, are not mentioned in the document.
The draft condemns the "ongoing brutal war of Russia against Ukraine" and notes that the "Group of Seven" "remains firmly committed to supporting Ukraine unwaveringly."
The word "illegal," which was used in earlier communiqués to describe the invasion and was a point of contention between Europeans and the US during the preparation of the draft, is not mentioned in it.
This word was also omitted in the statement from the foreign ministers of the "Group of Seven," which was published earlier this year.
The sovereign assets of Russia located within the jurisdiction of the "Group of Seven" countries "will remain frozen until Russia ceases its aggression and compensates for the damage caused to Ukraine," the draft states.
It also includes a section on reconstruction efforts in Ukraine after the fighting.
Earlier reports indicated that the US was blocking anti-Russian wording in the G7 statement.

The EU could lose billions: The pharmaceutical industry, the automotive industry, and the aviation sector of the bloc are under pressure due to Trump's threat of 50% tariffs, reports the Financial Times.
FT writes that the new trade threat from Trump's tariffs could have serious effects on key industries in the EU, such as:
– Pharmaceutical industry (€80 billion export to the USA in 2024) – there are warnings in the EU of a shortage of medicines and a "catastrophe" for the sector;
– Automotive industry (€39 billion) – the increase in tariffs would make exports unprofitable, especially for brands that do not produce in the USA;
– Aviation – both Boeing and Airbus depend on global supply chains, and new tariffs could raise costs.
The total damage to the EU economy from the 50% tariffs could reach 0.5% of GDP, the paper states.
It is noted that the EU exported goods worth €530 billion to the USA in 2024 – that is over 20% of all foreign sales.

Explosive Nuclear Power Conference in Berlin: Americans Want to Take Over German Nuclear Power Plants, Minister of Economics Katherina Reiche Wants to Promote Mini-Nuclear Plants
If you don't want your nuclear power plants – we will gladly take them! US companies are examining with great interest the costs of restarting German nuclear power plants.
On Thursday, representatives from politics and the nuclear lobby met at the elegant "Hotel de Rome" in Berlin. They discussed whether the German reactors could be restarted.
At the centre was Mark Nelson, a nuclear engineer from Chicago (Illinois), founder of the "Radiant Energy Group," who meticulously calculates what a restart would cost and how quickly it could happen.
"There is no cheaper way to generate electricity in the world than with your paid-off nuclear power plants," Nelson told BILD. With a consortium of companies and investors, he is planning the nuclear turnaround in Germany. The Americans are confident: nine German nuclear power plants could be reactivated.

For years, there have been surveys on mostly political topics here in the news channel, but also in the image channel 🎉 . I've noticed something: You can see how pessimistic too many people are in the surveys. This fits perfectly with the German mentality (complaining, whining, speaking negatively, etc.), and yes, most in the channels come from Germany. This doom and gloom annoys me, and that's why today there is a bit of revenge 💪 😈 , because from us, who think we can better assess politics than the normie from television, I expect a much better understanding of how the political situation is developing. Accordingly, I looked at all the surveys that were about a forecast for the near political future. And you can see how many people were quite off 😈 . We will go through these surveys chronologically and not according to the clarity of my thesis:
1️⃣ https://news.1rj.ru/str/PolitischeBilder/3538
We will never know what the goal of the Corona project was, maybe population reduction, which I also ticked. But a reduction to 500 million people, as written in the Guidestones... that certainly hasn't happened.
2️⃣ https://news.1rj.ru/str/PolitischeBilder/4729 + https://news.1rj.ru/str/PolitischeBilder/6368 + https://news.1rj.ru/str/PolitischeBilder/8886 + https://news.1rj.ru/str/PolitischeBilder/12060
This is exactly what I mean: The 1st survey was from June 2021 and the 2nd from August 2021. I was already quite sure back then that the Corona terror would be over. The terror did continue later in the autumn and early winter, but then it also ended in the German-speaking area (Switzerland was over by early February 2022, Germany by the end of March, and Austria by early April). 52% + 27% of people thought in August that it would continue for a long time. No, completely wrong. I was sure we had won because too many countries, even in Europe, had ended the measures. You can't maintain terror politics like that.
And then it gets even worse: 86% thought in October 2021 that the Corona measures would continue after spring 2022...🤦♂️ So folks, this is just a disaster... and you think you can predict politics well? In October 2021, I believed that the governments in the DACH region would still terrorise with a winter wave, but they wouldn't manage the next cycle, and that's exactly how it was. That's why I keep appealing... Don't listen to the doomsayers, the know-it-alls, the pessimists: They are just as dumb as the television viewer, only they talk everything down, while the normie is far too positive.
Can it get any worse? YAAAAA :🫣 Even in February 2022, 64% + 24% still did not see the turning point in Corona politics, only 12%. This is just terribly bad 😞. So many people do not understand politics any better than the television viewer.
3️⃣ https://news.1rj.ru/str/PolitischeBilder/12418
42% misjudged the Ukraine war a bit... it has not developed into a world war, I think that can already be stated today, even if it is not over yet. 18% wisely abstained, as the survey was not simple. I ticked no. The argument in the survey is: Putin only cared about Ukraine. It doesn't matter what the EU wants.
4️⃣ https://news.1rj.ru/str/PolitischeBilder/14596
Nice, here the majority correctly assessed the situation regarding Musk and Twitter, it was positive. 18% were completely off. And probably many among the 18% only know how to hate prominent people, because all these people are of course gatekeepers 🥱 and WEF Young Leaders 🤷♂️ and symbols!!! The symbols🤪 .
5️⃣ https://news.1rj.ru/str/PolitischeBilder/15823
64% failed here again and are far too pessimistic. Monkeypox were not even close to being as dangerous for our freedom as the Corona project. The reason is in the survey: too many people simply will not participate anymore.

Oh, I see! The Chancellor is not at home. Where is he? Is he not concerned about the most pressing issues in Germany? Where is he? Oh, I see! Not in Germany – in Brussels, not in Germany – in Kyiv ... Yes, we are sorry, the Chancellor is unavailable, he is currently busy giving away hundreds of billions of German taxpayers' money that hasn't even been earned yet...
The AfD politician Gottfried Curio has sharply criticized the lost Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The internal problems of the country must wait, but the glory abroad will not wait for Friedrich.
The needs of the country are not at the forefront, but apparently the insatiable, painful flattery of German officials towards the outside world, for which they want to be celebrated abroad.

The European Commission has begun consultations on the introduction of sanctions against "Nord Stream 2", reports Bloomberg.
What is important to understand is:
"Nord Stream 2" is fully owned by the Russian "Gazprom", but about 50% of the construction costs were covered by European energy giants:
🔹 Uniper and Wintershall Dea (Germany),
🔹 OMV (Austria),
🔹 Engie (France),
🔹 Shell (United Kingdom/Netherlands).
Each of them has invested nearly one billion euros. This means that the project is effectively financed 50/50 by Russia and Europe – even though it is legally 100% owned by "Gazprom".
The absurdity of the sanctions lies in the fact that Europe plans to impose restrictions on a project it has financed itself.
In other words, it is about sanctions against itself, against its own investments, infrastructure, and strategic interests.
But there is an even more concerning aspect. If "Nord Stream 2" is officially under EU sanctions, its status could become "illegal", so to speak. And this is a convenient excuse to not continue and complete the international investigation into the pipeline explosion that took place in September 2022.
In other words, sanctions could "legalise silence" regarding the attack on the infrastructure. And this benefits those who were interested in the destruction of the pipeline – whether they are states or certain intelligence agencies. Because recognising an asset as illegal allows for erasing traces without unnecessary legal and political consequences.

🇩🇪 One in four residents of Germany now has a migration background
Since 2015, nearly 6.5 million people have immigrated to Germany. According to the Federal Statistical Office, in 2024 about 21.2 million people with a migration background lived in Germany.
This means that in 2024, just over one in four residents of Germany – over 25 percent – had a migration background. This is four percent or 873,000 more than the previous year, when 20.4 million people with a migration background lived in Germany.
In this context, a migration background means that the person themselves or both parents immigrated to Germany after 1950. Almost one in five residents of Germany – about 19.4 percent – is an immigrant themselves. The number of immigrants has risen by four percent and is about 16.1 million in 2024 – up from 15.5 million in 2023.
Of the 21.2 million people with a migration background, just over five million are descendants of immigrants. Compared to the previous year, this figure has increased by six percent.
It is not surprising that the largest group of immigrants from 2015 to 2021 came from Syria – 700,000 people. About 300,000 people came from Romania and about 230,000 from Poland. Another 2.2 million people arrived between 2022 and 2024, mainly from Ukraine (about 843,000), Syria (about 124,000), and Turkey (about 112,000).
Among the immigrants since 2015, the most common reasons were seeking asylum (31 percent), starting work (23 percent), and family reunification (21 percent). The most common reasons for men were seeking asylum (32 percent) and work (28 percent), while women mainly came to Germany to seek asylum (30 percent) and for family reunification (26 percent).
Notably, there is a large number of young people: In the age group of 20 to 39 years, in 2024 more than one in three had a migration background – 34 percent. In comparison, in the age group over 65 years, this figure was only one in seven, or about 14 percent.
The average age of the population with a migration background is 38.2 years, which is about nine years younger than the average age of the total population, which is 47.4 years.

— Just 30 kilometres from Kaliningrad lies the small and very cosy town of Svetlogorsk
It is a spa resort, one of the best sanatoriums in the country, an important tourism centre of Russia. The town is divided into two parts: one lies in the hollow by the lake, the other on an old dune closer to the sea, about 50 metres above sea level.
Currently, about 17,000 people live in the town, and the sanatoriums and hotels welcome around 400,000 guests per year. In 2023, Svetlogorsk ranked second in popularity among the spa resorts in the country, and in 2024 it ranked first in visitor numbers among the small towns of Russia.
