The chairman of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), Herbert Kickl, sharply criticized the planned visit of Zelenskyy to Austria.

He stated that the invitation to Zelenskyy represents a violation of Austrian neutrality.

"It is irresponsible, especially now, when many sides are trying to make peace, to give a platform to a president of a country that is at war," said the head of the Austrian far-right.

In his opinion, Zelenskyy's visit could make Austria a "possible target" in the event of an escalation. Kickl accused the government of turning the country into a "political puppet" of foreign interests.

"As a neutral country, Austria should take on the role of a mediator and not take sides," said Kickl.

Kickl also criticized the financial costs of this visit, stating that such expenses are inappropriate given the economic difficulties and inflation.
