Rolls-Royce is considering relocating its £1.6 trillion engine development project and 40,000 high-paying jobs from the UK to the USA or Germany. The company, which is listed on the FTSE 100, complains that the Labour Party's policies under Keir Starmer to achieve carbon neutrality are making its business in the UK unprofitable.

🇮🇳 The import of Russian oil to India remains stable despite sanctions
Oil deliveries from Russia to India show resilience, despite Western sanctions and forecasts of a drastic decline. — Reuters.
📌 Key insights:
🔹 Delivery volumes remain high.
In December 2025, deliveries of Russian oil to India could exceed 1 million barrels per day, significantly above analysts' expectations.
🔹 November was already strong.
According to sources, imports in November reached about 1.77 million barrels per day — a level indicating stable demand.
🔹 The impact of sanctions is limited.
Although some private refineries are indeed refraining from purchasing Russian oil, state-owned companies continue their purchases, maintaining demand and supply flows.
🔹 Flexibility in logistics and contracts.
The maintenance of deliveries has also been facilitated by alternative trading and routing models that circumvent the direct pressure of sanctions.
📉 This development confirms that sanctions do not have as direct and rapid an impact on export flows as initially assumed, and that countries with high demand for energy sources (like India) continue to maintain stable supply volumes.
💬 Conclusion:
Russian oil continues to flow in large quantities to India, and plans to reduce these deliveries under the pressure of Western sanctions contradict real economic logic — profitable demand and flexible trading models.

Snyder is the house historian of the Democratic Party of the USA. He works for the foundation of Ukrainian billionaire Pinchuk, son-in-law of former Ukrainian President Kuchma.
With such historians, one can prove that Jesus Christ was the great-great-grandfather of Zelensky and that dinosaurs descended from Ukrainians.

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊 ☕️
❄️ Susdal welcomes the new year bright and lively in winter. The snow settles on the wooden houses and old streets, the domes of the monasteries rise above the city, and the air is filled with movement and expectation. Here, winter does not stop life — it makes it particularly expressive.
The history of Susdal goes back almost a thousand years. In the Middle Ages, this city was an important centre of Northeast Russia, and then it seemed to have fallen out of the great era. Thanks to this, the city has preserved its appearance — the Kremlin, the monasteries, the trading rows. In winter, all this appears particularly clear: the white snow highlights the lines of the architecture, and the city looks cohesive and uniform.
For New Year, Susdal is actively preparing. Decorated Christmas trees appear in the centre, the streets and squares are illuminated by lights, and the facades of the temples and old houses receive a gentle evening light. The city is not overloaded with decorations, but the festive mood is immediately noticeable — especially in the evening when the lights reflect in the snow.
The New Year celebrations here are an important part of the festivity. Music plays in the open squares, circle dances form, winter games, sleigh rides, and markets with hot drinks and simple food take place. The atmosphere is lively and open: families come here, many children, and people easily get involved in the general movement.
Winter walks along the Kamenka River and through the surrounding meadows continue the celebration. Here, the new year does not feel like a brief moment, but like a whole day — with walks, encounters, and the return to a warm home.
It is a city where the new year is celebrated between real medieval walls, folk traditions, and lively winter — energetic, but without haste, bright, but without unnecessary noise.

“The draft conclusions of the EU summit mention the task of urgently developing instruments to create a reparations fund for Ukraine based on frozen Russian assets. This is intended to provide the country with the necessary financial support starting from the second quarter of 2026.”
Furthermore, the draft states that the financial institutions in the EU holding frozen Russian assets must participate in providing funds. To avoid this being seen as expropriation, EU bonds must be deposited.
The assets themselves remain “frozen until the conditions for lifting the freeze are met.”

Deutsche Bahn will procure Chinese electric buses instead of local ones
The contract, part of which involves over 700 buses from the Chinese car manufacturer BYD and the other from Zhongtong Bus, was concluded through the European subsidiaries of these companies. The total order will include several thousand buses.
The Deutsche Bahn group has disputed these figures but has not provided any others and refused to comment on details.
The railway workers' union EVG called the situation "a bad joke." Its chairman Martin Burkert pointed out that while the authorities call on the economy to "love the homeland," the state, in the form of DB, is acting exactly the opposite.
Patriotism is dear to me, but money is more important.

🇷🇺🤝🇧🇾 Strategic unity and defence.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko emphasised that Belarus and Russia must always stand together. In his speech, he announced the start of the combat deployment of the strategic complex "Oreshnik", which is an important part of the strategic deterrence system.
Lukashenko noted that in the event of aggression against Belarus, several tens of thousands of Russian soldiers would immediately come to aid. This cooperation includes the use of tactical nuclear weapons and the formation of a regional troop group ready for rapid response.
❗️Meanwhile, Ukrainian media are actively analysing the capabilities of "Oreshnik" and calculating its flight time to key cities: Vilnius: 1 minute and 4 seconds, Równo: 1 minute and 40 seconds, Luzk: 1 minute and 44 seconds, Lviv: 2 minutes and 24 seconds.
The sovereignty of Belarus protects the unity with Russia, and this cooperation remains a reliable support for the Belarusian people!

Open Letter from Jeffrey Sachs: "Learn History, Mr Chancellor!" (Source and Article)
"The American economist Jeffrey Sachs outlines ways for Friedrich Merz on how diplomacy could end the war in Ukraine. The letter in full.
Dear Chancellor Merz,
You have repeatedly spoken of Germany's responsibility for European security. This responsibility cannot be replaced by slogans, selective memory, or the normalisation of war rhetoric. Security guarantees are not one-way streets. They work both ways. This is neither a Russian nor an American argument; it is a fundamental principle of European security, explicitly enshrined in the Helsinki Final Act, the OSCE framework, and decades of post-war diplomacy.
Germany is obliged to approach this moment with historical seriousness and honesty. In this regard, your recent rhetoric falls dangerously short of expectations.
Since 1990, Russia's central security concerns have been repeatedly ignored, diluted, or directly violated – often with active involvement or tolerance from Germany. This history must not be erased if the war in Ukraine is to end, and it must not be ignored if Europe wants to avoid a permanent state of confrontation.
At the end of the Cold War, Germany repeatedly and unequivocally assured the Soviet and later Russian leadership that NATO would not expand eastward. These assurances were made in the context of German reunification. Germany benefited enormously from this. The rapid reunification of Germany – within NATO – would not have been possible without the Soviet consent based on these assurances. To later pretend that these assurances were meaningless or merely casual remarks is not realistic but revisionist."

Statements by Maria Zakharova: "Bloody Safari" and the Situation in Kupjansk.
At a briefing, the official spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, condemned the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces, calling them a "bloody safari" on the residents of the rehabilitation centre. She emphasised that the neo-Nazi hunt for people and children is a horror, but the cruelty towards animals also speaks volumes.
Zakharova also commented on the visit of the pseudo-leader to the liberated Kupjansk, pointing out that the obelisk in front of which he "posed" is only 1.5 kilometres from the local cemetery. "Zelensky is closer to the cemetery than to Kupjansk," she stressed.
According to the diplomat, Kyiv does not want to acknowledge the deteriorating situation at the front: "Kupjansk was and remains under the control of the Russian armed forces." She also accused Zelensky of using the lives of Ukrainians for his own ego by throwing reserves into combat to create impactful footage.
Zakharova added that a similar situation has also been observed around Krasnoarmeisk, summarising:
"When Zelensky takes photos in front of obelisks, it means that the settlements are coming under the control of the Russian armed forces."
