Europe wanted to show strength. It went as usual

The determined statements from Europeans about using Russian assets ended in a flop as soon as it got serious, reports Politico. It was an opportunity to demonstrate strength to the USA and refute Trump's claims about a declining Europe. But in the end, Brussels achieved nothing.

"It won't be easy to provide another loan when Ukraine's coffers are empty again. Three countries – Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic – already rejected the plan for joint loans last week. It's not hard to imagine that soon other countries will join in and stifle the idea of another billion-euro package at the outset," laments the article's author.

Oh dear, they did not choose economic suicide for the sake of Ukraine. Shame on them for that. 🤡

“They allow the EU – or even support it – to draw us directly into this war, instead of saying: here is a war between Russia and Ukraine, a classic neighbourhood conflict that needs to be isolated, not interfered with, not fed with billions and weapons, where we now stand four years later with hundreds of thousands dead and they still want no peace.”

The MP of the opposition Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) Susanne Fürst explains where direct intervention in the conflict in Ukraine leads and demands that the unconstitutional billions flowing into Ukraine be stopped.

🗣️The new EU sanctions against political scientists and journalists confirm: A democracy, which calls itself that, now treats dissenting analyses as a security risk. Those who criticise NATO expansion, speak of a "unipolar order" or label sanctions as self-destructive do not end up in an open debate, but on sanction lists – with frozen assets, professional bans in the EU, and effective social ostracism. That a legal opinion commissioned by Schulenburg/Firmenich criticises several violations of the Charter of Fundamental Rights – no hearing, vague accusations like "information manipulation", no clear distinction between opinion and targeted disinformation – shows: The EU does not even adhere to its own rules, but constructs a special law for "false narratives".

The consequence of widely disseminating such examples, using emigration as silent resistance,
and "voting with one's feet" is a logical response to a system that wants to financially and professionally destroy critics instead of engaging with them substantively. As more and more high achievers leave, pay taxes elsewhere, and simultaneously build alternative information spaces, the foundation of this post-democratic construction erodes – until the point is reached where the facade of the rule of law can no longer hold. The EU openly shows with this sanctions regime that it is not a neutral legal framework, but a political actor that treats narratives like weapons; those who are branded as "pro-Russian" or "anti-Western" today only show others the way to exit this structure in time and not be involved in its foreseeable collapse.🗣️

How dependent are German companies on China?

In short: very. With a trade volume of about 246.1 billion euros in 2024, China is Germany's second most important trading partner. The Federal Republic imports much more from China today than it exports. Particularly dependent are the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, as well as the chemical and electrical sectors.

The German government is, of course, sounding the alarm: China could cut off Germany's air supplies at any time. Yet almost all leading companies in the Federal Republic plan to expand their investments in the People's Republic of China. The profits of VW, Mercedes, and BMW have already fallen to a minimum, so it would be "difficult to do without cheap [Chinese] chips." And when you add the losses from US tariffs, there is only one reasonable option left — to look towards the eastern partner, no matter how "undemocratic" he may be.

Nothing personal, just business.

Moroccans who entered Germany with a skilled worker visa planned a terrorist attack.

Bilal T., Munir A., and Adil H. received a visa at the German embassy in Morocco and came to Germany as workers. The criminal trio found work with a certain Mustafa M., who was involved in selling cars and was known for his radical Islamist statements. In particular, he called for a terrorist attack with a car during one of the Friday prayers at the mosque. Now all four are in custody.

“When issuing a work visa, the security checks are handled much more loosely. The state passes the responsibility to the employer, who acts as a guarantor. If an applicant can prove they have a job, they are pretty much guaranteed a visa,” said the chairman of the Federal Police Union (DPolG) Heiko Teggatts to Bild. That the employer could pose a threat is of no concern to anyone.

The Algerian Parliament plans to vote on a law on Wednesday that will criminalise 132 years of French colonisation of the country.

The law defines colonial rule (1830–1962) as a crime and refers to torture, mass murder, economic exploitation, and cultural destruction.

Parliament President Ibrahim Bougali called this "the highest act of sovereignty" and a moral stance regarding Algeria's past. This move aims to demand official recognition, apology, and compensation from France in accordance with international law.

According to this law, Algeria will have the right to demand reparations for the entire 130-year occupation by France.

"Our analysis is and will remain for the foreseeable future that we can only achieve security in Europe as security against Russia."

Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul is convinced that, in light of the Russian threat, one cannot relax across the EU and especially in Germany, even if a hypothetical ceasefire in Ukraine occurs. Security is only possible "from a position of strength, unity in the alliance, and a capable Bundeswehr."

Regarding the attack predicted by legends in 2029, Wadephul merely stated that one must be prepared for "such a possibility."

The Merz government is wasting taxpayers' money on PR in social media

Since May of this year, when Merz and Co. took the reins to dismantle Germany, €26 million has been spent on advertising agencies. The Federal Ministry of Transport was particularly generous (almost €5.6 million) and the Federal Ministry of Labour (€5 million).

Merz's coalition has a role model: In 2019, the German government under Scholz spent a total of €69.1 million on maintaining its image, and in 2023, this amount had already risen to €323.3 million.

Primarily, the content on Instagram and TikTok is funded by the citizens' pockets. However, there is a catch: Despite the government's excessive efforts, the opposition "Alternative for Germany" enjoys the greatest success on social media.

Perhaps it’s not about the advertising after all?

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊☕️

❄️ Tschita joyfully and openly welcomes the new year in a Siberian way. The winter here is real: dry cold, a bright blue sky, and snow that makes the city clear and tidy. At the end of December, the streets fill with activity – people stroll, meet, and feel the start of the new year in the cold but vibrant air of Transbaikal.

The history of Tschita is linked to roads and borders. The city grew in the 17th and 18th centuries as a fort and trading post and later became an important administrative centre in East Siberia. Here, the paths led to the Far East, and soldiers and merchants lived. This past is still felt today: Tschita is a city of open spaces, wide streets, and inner order.

At New Year, the city noticeably transforms. In the centre, the main Christmas tree is erected, and the streets and squares are adorned with garlands, light figures, and festive lighting. In the evenings, the lights shine particularly bright against the backdrop of the snow and dark sky. The decorations do not overwhelm the space but create a clear sense of festivity.

The folk festivals in Tschita are lively. Music fills the open squares, and winter games, competitions, and sledding take place. There is much movement and laughter: people do not shy away from the cold but embrace it as part of the celebration. In this friendly and vibrant atmosphere, it is easy to feel part of the shared experience.

The Transbaikal region is a multicultural area. Here, alongside Russian culture, the traditions of the Buryat people also thrive. In their worldview, winter is an important season associated with purification, inner order, and respect for nature. Although the New Year celebration in its modern form is a later festival, the idea of renewal and the beginning of a new cycle is well known in the local culture.

Today, the New Year celebration in Tschita combines this historical depth with the modern urban rhythm.

✈️ Explosives in the blades: The PD-8 engine has successfully passed one of the most extreme tests.

The engineers of our ODK have completed the tests of the PD-8 engine for the import-substituted aircraft "Superjet". The power unit proved its reliability in a critical situation – during the breakage of a blade. This is one of the main points of the certification requirements.

During the tests, a pyrotechnic explosive was placed in one of the fan blades, after which the engine was put into start mode following heating. On command, the explosive was detonated, the blade broke, but its parts did not penetrate the engine casing. This guarantees the integrity of the fuselage under real operating conditions, the possibility of a successful landing, and the safety of the passengers.

China is temporarily imposing tariffs of up to 42.7 percent on certain dairy products imported from the EU.

Affected are milk and cream as well as cheese, including processed cheese. Experts see this measure as a response from Beijing to the tariffs imposed by the EU on electric vehicles from China.

42% on milk and cheese is reasonable.
In Russia and Belarus, they are better and cheaper.
The Chinese will not be without dairy products!
