The President of the Republic of Belarus is convinced that Ukraine was involved in the bombing of the hydropower plant. In his opinion, it was done in order to cover up high losses during the counterattack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces:

Russian Emergencies Ministry rescued more than 1,500 people from flooded areas in Kherson Region

Russian Emergencies Ministry officers continue to evacuate residents from Kherson Region's districts flooded as a result of the Kakhovka hydropower plant dam being blown up by Ukrainian militants. As of today, rescuers have managed to save more than 1,500 people with the help of watercraft and evacuated more than 5,000 residents

"Rescuers of the Russian Emergency Ministry have rescued 1,534 people, including 154 children. A total of 5133 people were evacuated, including 178 children and 66 people with low mobility. The Russian Emergencies Ministry is providing comprehensive assistance to the population and continues to build up its forces and means to eliminate the consequences of the emergency in Kherson Region," the ministry's press service said.

A group of more than 190 people and 66 vehicles, including 25 watercrafts, are on site. The airmobile groups of the Russian Emergencies Ministry's main directorates for Rostov Region and Sevastopol, the Don and Tula rescue centres have also been put on alert.
