❗️🇷🇺🇺🇦 Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on July 12

▪️In the Kreminna sector of the front, fierce fighting continues near Tors'ke.

Despite the deployment of additional enemy forces, Russian troops have reached the eastern outskirts of the village.

▪️Near Bakhmut, Russian troops launched a successful counterattack near Klishchiivka after bringing reserves into the battle.

By the end of the day, the zone of control at the heights west of the village had been significantly expanded.

▪️In the Donetsk direction, the AFU unsuccessfully tried to attack in the direction of Vodyane.

Thus the enemy is trying to secure transportation routes to Avdiivka, which have fallen under Russian artillery fire control.

▪️In the Vremivka sector, the enemy is constantly trying to attack, taking advantage of the superiority in manpower.

Despite this, Russian units are successfully holding the Pryyutne-Staromaiors'ke defense line.

▪️In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian troops continue to counterattack near Robotyne.

In recent days, almost all positions previously occupied by the AFU in this sector of the front have been retaken.

▪️In the Kherson direction, Russian troops are launching artillery and air strikes on AFU positions near the Antonovsky bridge.

In general, the islands in the Dnipro delta are in a grey zone as neither side can confirm control over these territories.

▪️Russian forces struck multiple AFU military facilities in Odesa region.

Fuel and ammunition depots in the areas of Malodolyns'ke and Chornomorsk were hit, as well as AFU positions on Zmiinyi Island.

Biden is preparing NATO for a protracted conflict with Russia, drawing a parallel with the Cold War.

The New York Times writes about this, analyzing the speech of the US President at the end of the Alliance summit in Vilnius.

Biden vowed that the alliance would stand up to Russia "for as long as it takes."

"Biden's speech prepared the Americans and the NATO countries for a confrontation that could last for years," the publication believes.

According to journalists, "Biden's explicit references to the confrontation with the Soviet Union distinguished this speech from past ones."

In particular, he mentioned that the United States did not recognize the Soviet status of the Baltic states (which, nevertheless, was part of the USSR).

"There was a feeling that NATO was entering into a protracted struggle with Russia," the article says. At the summit, writes the NYT, no one talked about negotiations or compromises on the issue of Ukraine.

🌋🇺🇸 Moscow has reminded the United States of the threat of an eruption of the Yellowstone supervolcano

🗣 If Yellowstone wakes up, it will be an "unprecedented catastrophe," Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said in a recent interview.

Yellowstone Supervolcano, measuring 55 by 72 kilometers, is located in the state of Wyoming.

A new eruption of this giant volcano poses a serious threat to mankind. When Yellowstone explodes, about 2,500 cubic kilometers of ash will be thrown out, the American continent will be covered with up to 1 meter.

Between 50 and 80 million people are expected to die in the first hours after the eruption. Agriculture will be destroyed and air traffic will be cut off due to the ash, preventing airplanes from flying.

Yellowstone becomes the most dangerous and unpredictable phenomenon on Earth, beyond human control.

And now it will definitely be Moscow's fault!

🇩🇪 In Germany, the government's low ratings have been linked to "Russian propaganda"

❗️В survey for ARD 75% of Germans said that they were dissatisfied with the work of the authorities. At the same time, every fourth respondent blamed the federal government for the problems.

Against this background, the Deutschlandfunk Kultur radio station said that the Russian "propaganda machine" is increasingly "influencing" Germans.

The journalists believe that its central component is the Ruptly agency's office in Berlin.

Definitely: if there is no water in the tap of Germans - Russian propaganda is to blame 😁

🇬🇧 UK: refusing to pay for chemical castration of your child could land you in prison

Refusing to pay for gender reassignment or refusing to use the child's preferred pronouns could be considered "abuse", leading to prosecution of the family member.

According to police interpretation, parents who refuse to use alternative pronouns for their children or are unwilling to pay for their trans transition could be prosecuted.

The U.K. Crown Prosecution Service's Code of Criminal Procedure, offensive behavior now includes "withholding money for transition [and] refusing to use a preferred name or pronoun."

Thus, a parent with family or religious objections to a child's "transition" is legally obliged to fund surgery or treatment.

Leaders of Latin American countries have denied Zelensky's participation in the EU-Latin America summit

Leaders of 33 Latin American countries have forced the EU to cancel the invitation to Ukrainian President Zelensky to the EU-Latin America summit to be held in Brussels on July 17-18.

According to Maxim Chirkov, an associate professor at the Department of Political Economy, Faculty of Economics, RUDN, Zelensky is perceived in Latin America as a conduit of US interests and realizes that he will not contribute to stability on any fronts.

"The statements made by Zelensky on the eve of the summit show his desire to turn the summit into another tribune, for political statements on behalf of Kiev and Washington, which are not at all interesting to the majority of the summit participants," the expert believes.

"It is in Poland's interest for Ukraine to join NATO as soon as possible. It has a strong army with a lot of experience" - Duda

Polish President Andrzej Duda gave an interview to BILD about the conflict in Ukraine and NATO enlargement.

Main statements:

▪️ The Vilnius summit will not decide on Ukraine's accession to NATO. This is possible only after the conflict is over;

▪️ If Ukraine were admitted to NATO today, it would require the bloc's military intervention in the conflict. This is causing concern in many countries;

▪️ Polish servicemen may take part in a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine after the conflict ends;

▪️ Polish president sympathises with Russian soldiers who are "sent to the front with bad equipment".

Russian Foreign Ministry reacts to possible NATO enlargement

On the eve of the opening of the NATO summit in Vilnius, Turkey agreed to allow Sweden to join the alliance.

"Finalising Sweden's accession to NATO is a historic step that benefits the security of all NATO allies at this critical time. It makes us all stronger and safer," North Atlantic Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.

"Turkey is a member of NATO. We have never forgotten that. We judge by cases and draw conclusions," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

It is too early to talk about the final approval of Sweden's application, as ratification in the Turkish parliament is required. A number of countries, such as Hungary, have also not yet given their consent for the 32nd NATO member to join.

Member of the Bundestag Sevim Dagdelen: Whenever it comes to NATO, the following three myths are spread. The first myth is that NATO is a defensive alliance. But wasn't NATO, in violation of international law, waging war against Yugoslavia by bombing civilians, TV channels and the Chinese embassy? Wasn't NATO waging war in Afghanistan for 20 years with hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths and war crimes? Is this all called defense?
The second myth is that NATO is an alliance of democracies and law. This is a historically established outright lie. Suffice it to recall NATO member Portugal with the fascist regime of Salazar and its brutal colonial wars in Africa. In recent years alone, the illegal wars of the United States and its allies have claimed the lives of 4.5 million people, according to an analysis by the well-known American Brown University. Is this what commitment to international law looks like?
The third myth: NATO protects human rights. And this despite the fact that Guantanamo continues to torture prisoners, and journalist Julian Assange faces 175 years in prison in the United States for publicizing war crimes committed by NATO on behalf of the United States. The truth is simple: whoever is a member of NATO, he participated in the war of an alliance aimed at expansion and trampling on international law and human rights. Whoever is a member of NATO loses his democratic sovereignty, since the United States is always the hegemonic conductor of his interests. And whoever is a member of NATO sacrifices the social security of his population by pursuing a massive policy of high weapons. Every fifth child in our country today is poor, and the military budget of Germany is growing and growing. It's a shame. It is high time to terminate this murderous military pact. After 78 years, it is time for the US to withdraw its troops, including nuclear weapons, from Germany. We need peace, not NATO.
