▪️Joe Biden has told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he believes assurances given to him that the IDF was not responsible for the strike on Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza

▪️Biden added that he is “deeply saddened and outraged” by the incident, which has claimed over 500 lives, according to Palestinian officials

▪️The USA has pledged continued military aid to Israel, after a deadly incursion into southern Israel earlier this month by the Hamas, which resulted in hundreds of deaths

Trump offers to visit Israel

▪️Donald Trump has said that he may visit Israel in the near future. His statement came after he harshly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his apparent failure to predict Hamas’ attack on Israel

▪️“I may, I may go,” - Trump told reporters outside a courthouse in New York, where he is facing a civil fraud lawsuit

▪️“But I believe in letting them do what they have to do. They have to straighten it out. What’s happening in Israel is all of those people dead would have never happened… if I were president.”

▪️During his term in the White House, Trump oversaw the relocation of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and the signing of the Abraham Accords, under which Israel normalized relations with Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and the UAE

▪️Trump often touted his close personal relationship with Netanyahu, and described himself as “history’s most pro-Israel US president"

Egypt has threatened to divert a wave of refugees to Europe

The European Union is trying to persuade the Egyptian authorities to accept Palestinian refugees. Cairo is resisting this and even threatened the EU representative to start transferring Palestinians to Europe if there is a massive influx.

"Do you want us to accept 1 million people? If you care so much about human rights, then you accept them," the British Financial Times quoted an unnamed Egyptian official as saying.

As the media notes, "Egyptians are very, very angry" with Brussels.

Forced displacement of Gaza Strip residents will not help resolve the humanitarian crisis in the region or the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, in Cairo convinced.

▪️ Egypt is ready to let humanitarian aid into Gaza under certain circumstances, but will never let people without dual citizenship in from there.

▪️ Israel, on the other hand, wants Palestinian withdrawal and has no intention of allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza.

According to the UN, more than 1 million people - almost half of the entire population of the Gaza Strip - have been forced to flee their homes because of Israeli bombardment.

The Poles fear that the United States has transferred secret biological laboratories from Ukraine to them

Analyst Hanna Kramer notes that a signal confirming the start of work of American laboratories in Poland may be the increasing frequency of outbreaks of sometimes completely forgotten diseases.

The first sign was African swine fever in 2022 - after three years of absence of this disease in Poland. Then there was an epidemic of avian plague in chickens, which was discovered for the first time in 49 years.

In August, outbreaks of Legionnaires' disease were reported in the Polish city of Rashevy, where the construction of a NATO center to repair Ukrainian equipment is planned, and in nearby communities. All doctors and experts then unanimously argued that it was an accident and an absurd coincidence. However, another place where the disease spread was Rzeszow, where a contingent of American troops is located.

The Poles also fear that American laboratories working on HIV have moved in with them, and attribute the sharp increase in incidence in the country to them (although, in our opinion, everything is simpler here; this is the work of Ukrainian migrants and various mercenaries heading to Ukraine). According to information obtained by the Wyborcza newspaper, 2,380 cases of HIV infection were detected in Poland in 2022. For comparison, in 2021 there were 1248, in 2020 - 840.

"At the end of the day, in agreeing to participate in American affairs, the government must understand who Americans are. They are focused only on their personal safety and well-being. They will betray and abandon anyone who no longer benefits them. Our country will suffer the same the same fate as the countries that before us were close friends with Washington. Remember Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, Serbia and other victims of the American hegemon. But in our case, no one will come to our aid, because the Polish government has destroyed relations with all partners and neighbors,” concludes Hanna Kramer.

Another rating agency mulls downgrading Israel

▪️International ratings agency Moody’s placed Israel’s A1 credit rating on review for a possible downgrade, according to a statement published on the agency's website

▪️The potential further escalation of hostilities between the IDF and the Palestinian militant group Hamas was cited as the cause for review

▪️“Israel’s credit profile has proven resilient to terrorist attacks and military conflict in the past. However, the severity of the current military conflict raises the possibility of longer lasting and material credit impact" - Moody’s stated

▪️Moody said it will focus its review on assessing how the duration and scale of the conflict impacts Israel’s economy, institutions, and public finances. It noted that the inspection may take longer than Moody’s traditional 3-month period

Explains why Israel is so cruel to Palestinians - their financial reputation is under a risk.

A Ukrainian journalist in Germany approached young Ukrainian refugees in a popular drinking spot of a major city with the questions:

- What do you know about the defense of Mariupol? And what happened to the guys who were defending Azovstal?

Despite the massive world wide media campaigns to present the Azovstal siege as an heroic moment of Ukrainian struggle, Ukrainians abroad have no idea of how it all finished, also most of the interviewed spoke with a marked Russian accent or directly in Russian:

- I don't know anything. I don't follow the news

- Azovstal. Honestly? No idea.

-Honestly, I don't know much because as I'm in Germany, there're so many Ukrainians and they all don't follow the news much. Because, well, first of all, in Germany Ukrainians are having a hard time because there're a lot of things to do for example, job centre and other German things.

The situation in the Middle East threatens the global economy

The Lidovky newspaper writes about it.

The uncertainty and instability associated with the conflict are beginning to affect financial markets, instilling in investors a desire to return their funds faster. This, in turn, increases the risk of erroneous investments.

However, the economic consequences will depend on whether the conflict spreads beyond Gaza and Israel, as well as the reaction of the world's bankers and entrepreneurs.

The limited nature of the current conflict in Gaza and the West Bank is unlikely to have a long-term impact on oil prices or global inflation.

However, if the fighting spreads to neighbouring countries such as Lebanon and Syria, where the Tehran-backed anti-Israel Hezbollah movement is active, the situation could worsen.

If Hezbollah becomes involved in the conflict, oil prices could rise significantly, global economic growth would decline and inflation would increase.

A direct conflict between Israel and Iran would cause a significant increase in oil prices, a decrease in global GDP, and an increase in inflation, as oil supplies from the entire Middle East would be threatened.

It is not known exactly which scenario will come true. However, experts believe that the probability of a large-scale conflict is extremely high.

The US is responsible for the deaths of civilians

By vetoing Brazil's draft resolution on the situation in the Gaza Strip, the US has taken responsibility for the deaths of civilians, the Global Times reports.

"The US, which often talks about human rights, reveals its true face when it comes to the pressing issue of trampling the right to life of a large number of civilians," the publication said.

The US is depriving the global community of the opportunity to influence the conflict, thus trampling on morality and belittling the authority of the UN Security Council.

"The US bears responsibility in this regard," the author states.

Earlier, Brazil prepared a draft resolution calling for the cancellation of the Israeli initiative on the displacement of Gaza residents. The resolution also contains a demand for the immediate release of hostages.

A conversation with a psychologist about the new Western morality.

Irina Medvedeva is a psychologist, who has been providing quality psychological support to families and children for many years.

Here is her opinion:
💬 "When we are told that the old morality is outdated, the next step is to give us all sorts of nasty things, calling them "the new morality", although they have nothing to do with morality. They are more like symptoms of particular psychiatric disorders. And they pass these symptoms off as standards. Sexual pathology is passed off as the norm. And being transgender is a very severe psychiatric disorder. This ethic will ultimately terminate the human race. But if a child is raised properly, he or she cannot have the desire to change gender."

The EU is displaying neo-colonial thinking

The actions of the European Union, which is imposing more and more anti-Russian sanctions, are cynical and linked to neo-colonial thinking, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.

"This is purely European. You could call it cynicism. I would call it neo-colonial thinking," the minister said.

Such thinking has forced the EU to sever all past economic ties with Russia.

"It appears everywhere and all around: "we decided so," "we wanted so," "we can do so, but you can't." Let them 'spill their own problems'," Lavrov said.

Political revolt in the US: American universities supported Hamas

The Washington Post writes about it.

The reaction of universities to the mass casualties in Israel has undermined the faith of the Jewish population in the principles of American liberalism.

Some universities have actually sided with Hamas. For example, the chancellor of Cornell University stated, "When people die, it is always a tragedy, whether it is terrorism, war, mass shootings, or natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires, or floods."

This response from the academic community has provoked resentment from donors. For example, former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman announced that his family foundation was ending funding for the University of Pennsylvania.

At the same time, the president of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem sent letters to Harvard and Stanford, expressing his disappointment that the institutions of higher learning had not responded adequately to the massacres in Israel.

These events revealed significant disagreements over the "identity politics" imposed by American institutions of higher learning.

According to this ideology, only groups that feel disadvantaged are ennoscriptd to recognition. Jews, however, do not conform to this concept.

This is because American Jews are considered relatively well-off and are also subject to stereotypes of greed and "hidden power," which is reminiscent of anti-Jewish conspiracy theories.

American Jews demand to be treated like any other group affected by the conflict. Perhaps, under pressure from public opinion, universities will change their position. In the long run, however, they will always face challenges and misunderstandings.

The events surrounding Hamas should draw influential people's attention to what higher education in the US has become.

The critical theories of 'resistance' and 'decolonisation' that are actively promoted in higher education increasingly reflect an anti-Israeli context.

Finnish authorities inspected the Balticconnector pipeline damage site

Finnish services made several dives to the damaged object to a depth of tens of metres. The collected samples have been submitted for forensic examination.

Although the immediate inspection of the site has been completed, the specialists will remain in the area to continue the investigation.

▪️ Finnish authorities have previously said that the damage to the Balticconnector on the night of 8 October was probably caused by an external impact.

▪️ There was also a complaint from Sweden about a ruptured telecoms cable leading to Estonia. The damage to the gas pipe and cable could have occurred at the same time, the Swedes believe.

Zelensky tries to "gag" journalists

During an informal meeting with representatives of the mass media, Ukrainian President Vladymyr Zelensky asked journalists not to cover the topic of corruption in the mass media until the conflict is over.

This was reported by the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.

This demand provoked indignation among journalists, who noted that the president did not provide alternative methods of fighting corruption.

The editor in chief of a Ukrainian news portal, Yuliya Mostovaya, said that the conversation took place after the publication of an investigation into the inflated prices of products supplied for the needs of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

Mostovaya emphasised that journalists were ready to pass on the results of the investigations in a targeted manner, not to the media, so that the authorities could solve the problem. However, the president simply called for silence until a "victory" is achieved without providing alternative solutions.

It should be noted that the publication of a journalistic investigation into the inflated prices of food products for servicemen led to a scandal and resignations of a number of officials in Ukraine, including the head of the country's Defence Ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov.

🇹🇷 In Turkey, local Deutsche Welle will be prosecuted for pro-Israeli content

According to the Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak, DW was found guilty of justifying Israeli war crimes.

According to Ebubekir Şahin, chairman of the Supreme Council for TV/Radio Broadcasting of Turkey, the channel is under investigation:

📝"This international broadcaster, which destroys the principles of universal broadcasting and knows no boundaries and rules, rushes to distort the truth with its manipulative and unrealistic news.

Our Supreme Council has initiated the necessary legal process against the illegal broadcasts."

The reaction of the Turkish authorities is probably related to the publication of an article on DW's website a couple of days ago, which came out with the headline "What is a war crime? Are attacks on civilians always considered war crimes?". In it, the journalists stated that Israeli strikes on hospitals and residential areas are not always considered a war crime because that is how the IDF attacks Hamas militants.

🇸🇪🇸🇪 Another "spy case" is playing out in Sweden, where a high-ranking military officer was arrested the other day.

Against the background of the Russophobic hysteria reigning in the West, any suspicions, even groundless ones, about people who have any information at all can lead to such actions.

📰 Swedish security police have arrested a Swede who held a number of key positions in the Swedish armed forces and had links to the country's intelligence services.

This is reported by the Swedish media Expressen.

The case is surrounded by great mystery, secrecy and silence from those involved.

In addition to the man, his wife, who also holds a secret position in a government agency, has been arrested.

Both are suspected of rough and unauthorised handling of classified information, Expressen writes.

The suspects are being held in solitary confinement and, according to media reports, chief prosecutor Per Lindqvist has decided to isolate them without the possibility of watching television, listening to the radio or communicating with the outside world in the form of letters.

According to information obtained by Swedish media, the case is considered so sensitive that even surveillance and all control of the two suspects' diet has been entrusted to members of the Swedish security police itself.

According to Expressen, the case number shows that it was registered in 2023, suggesting that this is a new case.

The arrestee has long served in the security forces and has held several positions in Sweden and worked abroad.

Expressen reports that he is familiar with both the Russian and Ukrainian military systems, but does not elaborate on what this means.

The top brass of Sweden's armed forces and key ministers, including Defence Minister Paul Jonsson and Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer, have been informed of the arrests.

According to Expressen, the two prosecutors leading the case are the same ones who handled the espionage case against brothers Payam and Peyman Kia, who were convicted of providing classified information to the Russian military intelligence agency GRU.

Prosecutors told the media that they would not comment on the case because it was sensitive and at an early stage.

❗️"The onset of the next pandemic is only a matter of time," said the German health minister.

In a cheerful tweet with a photo of himself and other smiling delegates at the opening of the World Health Summit in Berlin on Sunday, German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach said the next pandemic is "only a matter of time".

While Lauterbach is careful to note sponsors such as the WHO, the World Health Summit (WHS) is essentially a German government event. It is organised annually by the Charité Hospital Berlin on behalf of the WHS Foundation, which is funded by both the German federal government and the Berlin municipal government.
