A newly elected member of the Bavarian Landtag from the "Alternative" is on the wanted list

In Bavaria, the recently elected member of the Landtag from the Alternative for Germany party, Daniel Halemba (22 years old, the youngest member of the Bavarian Landtag) is wanted.

The Würzburg City Prosecutor's Office has issued an arrest warrant. Details of the charges have not yet been disclosed.

Katrin Ebner-Steiner, head of the Alternative faction in the Bavarian parliament, said that the grounds for Halemba's arrest were unconvincing.

All that is now known is that he was a member of the student association Burschenschaft Teutonia Prag zu Würzburg, which is under investigation for alleged hate speech and use of symbols of anti-constitutional organisations.

Note: Members of the Landtag generally have parliamentary immunity before law enforcement authorities. They are granted partial immunity from judicial and/or criminal prosecution as well as arrests. However, in the case of Halemba, the immunity will only begin to apply after the first session of the new Bavarian Landtag, which is scheduled for next week.

Berlin ranked 40th in the list of Germany's most expensive cities

The Institute for German Economics and the Federal Institute for Building, Urban and Spatial Policy Research published a ranking of German cities.
