Dipping Toes into Bash Scripting
I'm slowly moving away from Medium as a medium of blogging due to their absurd paywall system. Either you make a product free or you don't. Now greedy authors are hiding their garbage writing behind a paywall and people are falling for that. So I built a blog with Hugo and started blogging there. Lately, been brushing up some bash noscripting skill and thought why not just document the whole process there and share it with the community. Be lenient.

Tech/Linux Career Advice?
I've been in the restaurant industry for most of my life, and am looking for advice on transitioning into a career involving technology and Linux. What are some first steps I can take, and what are some interesting areas to get into? Also, if there are better threads for career advice, feel free to point me in the right direction. I live in Austin, Texas if that helps. Thanks.

Where to start learning Linux and how to get certified
Hi,
I am looking to learn Linux in depth, although I have 2 years of exposure to it. I am looking to land a career as Linux systems Administrator but I do not know how or where to start. Also I am preparing for AWS SAA certificate as I have already passed AWS Cloud Practitioner. My goal is Linux -> AWS SAA --> AWS SysOps. Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks

Use ldap authentication in windows machines
Hi. We are having IPA server setup in our infra which we used for file share and as authentication server in our other portals. Now we want to integrate IPA server with windows machine too and want users to login with their ldap credentials in windows too. I heard we can do it with latest samba server. If anyone having idea please guide me or provide some resources to follow to achieve the same.

Linux has a GNU public licence which requires people to publish their code as open source right?
If this is true, why isn't the Kindle, android and Google's internal server open source?
