Choose Linux 26: Explaining Linux and Open Source as Concepts
Trying to explain what Linux and open source are can be tricky. We discuss our various approaches, and how they differ depending on the experience of who we are explaining them to.
LibreDNS: "The goal is to offer a public encrypted DNS service, that people can use, to maintain secrecy of their dns traffic, but also circumvent censorship". They support both DoH and DoT.

fzf and autojump are commandline superpowers
It's a unicode bird ... it's an ascii plane ... nope, it's just you navigating your shell at inhuman speeds. Made possible by fzf and autojump. This video was recorded in my car using my shitty mic.
Is there any legitimate use case for "rm -rf /"?
This is not a support request, so mods please don't delete this. I was just curious about this so I asked.
Is there any legitimate reason to use `rm -rf /`? If so under what condition would you want to do so?
The reason I ask is that `rm -rf /` will destroy your root file tree only if if you provide a `--no-preserve-root` argument. But if using it is so dangerous, why not disallow the command from deleting root altogether?

Photo editing on Linux
I have a laptop and I would like to use Linux full time on it, the only thing stopping me is that I can't get photoshop and lightroom. I've read that some editions do work on Linux however I would like to use the latest versions. Are there any alternatives to lightroom and photoshop that offer similer features (lens profiles etc) and also give the same level of detail when it comes to editing the raw files?

I was an xfce user for a long time, but now I switched to Plasma becouse of its compositor. It looks nice and feels pretty light, too. Little bloated, though, but I don't really care.
