Photo editing on Linux
I have a laptop and I would like to use Linux full time on it, the only thing stopping me is that I can't get photoshop and lightroom. I've read that some editions do work on Linux however I would like to use the latest versions. Are there any alternatives to lightroom and photoshop that offer similer features (lens profiles etc) and also give the same level of detail when it comes to editing the raw files?

What is your favourite desktop environment and why?
I was an xfce user for a long time, but now I switched to Plasma becouse of its compositor. It looks nice and feels pretty light, too. Little bloated, though, but I don't really care.

Yesterday I Learned: You can remove sudo
I was at work with some down time and remembered seeing a meme that said "sudo apt install sudo". I ran the command and was told, "sudo is already the newest version". It was then it dawned on me that sudo was an installed package... and could therefore be uninstalled.
I booted up a VM running Ubuntu Server 18 for safety, became root, and ran "apt remove sudo". Naturally it threw an error because i had no root password set. I quickly set a password and re-ran the command, and sudo actually uninstalled! You can still become root, you just have to use su. If you run a command with sudo again, it says the sudo command cant be found, and offers the command to install the package.
My curiousity grew deeper as i wondered 'can i remove the root user?' Running 'userdel root' told me the user was being used, so i naively exited root and tried again with identical results. I then realized root is running process #1, so its always in use.
I just wanted to share my little adventure yesterday. It was interesting to what happened.
