Should I switch to Ubuntu?
I've been a fedora user for quite awhile and I liked the distro but I've seen the amount of community support that Ubuntu has and wanted to ask.
Should I switch?
I mean I've been perfectly fine with fedora but the amount I had to go on my own to fix issues/configure stuff had made me quite a bit annoyed because the fact there wasn't an article/tutorial for those while Ubuntu had plenty of 'em
Just wanted to ask because I don't wanna deal with distro hopping.

I don't care what software you run.
I don't care the version of the software you run.
I don't care what DE you use. Heck, I don't even care what hardware you run!
All I care is that you, yes, you run Linux!
Let's all have fun with/tweak/work/develop Linux, and stop fighting about what's better, KDE or GNOME, GTK+ or Qt, etc etc :)

The name of that command
Hello, I am fairly new to Linux but after installing Fedora, I am starting get the hang of the syntax. Although one question, when you execute certain commands, what is the characters you would type after a particular command to determine it's status. For example
sudo mv filex.txt home/xxx/Desktop
Normally, the action just happens and you would use "ls" to check but what can you type on the same line to see the action that has taken place

Centos 7 - “systemctl restart nginx” return error
If i run **systemctl restart nginx** i am getting following error, how to solve this?

>Error: No space left on device Job for nginx.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status nginx.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

Why does Gnome/GTK mainly use C while KDE/QT uses C++ instead?
I do realize that there is no "correct" language to be used, however I'm just wondering why the people behind gnome decided to go with C while KDE went with C++. Is it to do with performance? Ease of development? Or is there something much deeper to this?
My assumption is that the Gnome community chose C and just went along with it, while the KDE community were inclined to stick with C++ as the project is based on QT, which came out first.
If you were one of the founders of each, which language would you choose and why?

[THREAD] Is it okay to pay or a distro?
Do you think it's okay for [zorin os ultimate](https://zorinos.com/download/), to charge money for their ultimate version?
I tought, that all distros should be free.
I guess you somehow have to support them, but i really liked what elementaryOS did, 'pay the amount you want'
What's your opinion?

Old Mac mini 2009 -> Linux music machine
I’d love to hear some decent solutions to turn an old Mac mini 2009 into a Linux flac ripper / music server for my house. It’s a decent machine without much use but the latest it can go is El Capitan. Surely some form of Linux could make better use of this box of crashes.
