What's made you love the Linux?
Let's be honest 90% of us started in Windows or Mac, so what I'm interested to know is what made you love that and install Linux in your device.
For me was simplicity and privacy concern.

Found this on twitter. Is it right if they are trying to associate Kubernetes with all the legacy and heritage of Unix and BSD virtualization attempts (like chroot, jails, etc.). Is Kubernetes really that advanced and useful?

Enable tap to click in i3 WM
When switching from Gnome or KDE to using i3 tiling window manager on a laptop, you might be frustrated to discover that tap-to-click on your touchpad no longer functions. This is how to re-enable tap-to-click in i3 by properly using X11 configuration.
AMDPro driver, VEGA, OpenCL
Installed Ubuntu 19.04 Studio and tweaked it to my liking, only to discover AMD doesn't have AMDGPU-PRO kernel modules for that distro and only supports 18.04-LTS.
Since I'm about to blow away this install, I'm looking for experience with folks using AMD GPUs for OpenCL, Davinci Resolve, and Blender. It seems CentOS is the most common platform for this kind of work, but I've got an AMD x399 1950x CPU that requires a modern kernel. I'd also like kvm support for qemu if possible. Arch seems one option. But I just want to get back to work.
I really liked the Real Time kernel in Ubuntu Studio. It worked with Jack perfectly. But I'm not sure if the Ubuntu Studio kernel will work with AMDGPU-PRO drivers. So I could use some advice, if anyone here has experience getting Linux set up for this purpose.

Is there a reason AMD users receive package updates for intel-microcode?
Just wondering if there's a reason I get updates on Intel microcode given that my machine is currently powered by a B450 mainboard and 2700X CPU.
If mods still count this as support post, that's cool, I'll just go to another sub and ask there again.

There are a lot of tools for debugging kernel and userspace programs in Linux. Most of them have performance impact and cannot easily be run in production...
Do any of you use conservative email clients like Sylpheed, Claws, Mutt, etc. even today? How's the experience?
I mostly want to know whether any of these support gmail and yahoo-mail as I use them both. If yes, then how tedious is the setup because GMail and Yahoo only support the OAuth these days and not the traditional IMAP/SMTP as it used to in the earlier days.

Which of the video NLE's have the tightest integration to headless rendering? (typically with MLT)
Four of the NLE projects on linux are based on MLT, as i understand it. (KDEnlive, shotcut, etc)
I'm looking for some kind of editor which would optimally allow you to:
* set up a simple project, in the graphical editor. Using some still images and maybe video.
* take that project file and read it in a human readable format
* **render video in a headless system** (cron-based)
* perhaps make manual edits to the project file, with a text editor
* perhaps take it back to the NLE *after* the manual edits

The reason why I want this is because i want to make scheduled renders of video projects, where the input data is being replaced daily, on disk

Is MLT/melt what i want for this, and which graphical editor is then the most mature?

Does anyone have the apk for an android Amarok remote?
It looks like the Amarok music player had a few android based remote control applications around 5 years ago, but they've all disappeared form the play store and I can't find the .apk files mirrored anywhere, though the plugin noscripts for the player are still available.
amaroKontrol looks to be the most fleshed out and is the one I'd prefer, but Amarok2 Remote and Amarok RC were the other two applications I've found reference to.
