I would like to thank all the people working on PowerPC for their amazing work
I am posting this from an iBook G3, a laptop that was released when I was two years old. I'm absolutely astonished by the fact that a twenty-year-old computer, rocking what is essentially a long-abandoned CPU architecture and 256 MB of RAM, can be running Firefox and other day-to-day tasks with relative ease, even without hardware acceleration.
I don't know what to say, other than "thank you!". Thank you very much to the amazing free software teams that make this possible.

Advice about Linux+/LPiC-1
Recently I completed the Linux Essentials course at Linux Academy and I was extremely disappointed, so much that I was going to continue but I cancelled the subnoscription.
I found that free NDG @Netacad covers far more in depth key topics, now I wonder if the course for the LPiC-1, which is divided in two modules, is as good as the Essentials is and prepares you enough for go and take the exam.
Thoughts? Ideas?
Thanks !

I'm looking for a hardware monitor
I'm getting into overclocking again and I'm in need of an app that will display
- CPU speed
- CPU load
- CPU temperature
GPU stats would be a great bonus
I'd prefer a nice GUI, but I'll use anything that meets my needs
I'm on Manjaro

I am looking to discover all the linux machines in my environment and planning to manage their patching.
I know there are existing tools which does that effectively. I want to try building my own tool to do this patch management task. Could you please help me if I can discover linux machines fo**r OS name & version, Installed patch date/ info** using any of the open source tools like nmap/openlmi? Maybe you have been reading recently about the release of OpenBSD 6.5 and wonder, 'What are the differences between Linux and OpenBSD?' I've also been there at some point in the past and these are my conclusions. They also apply, to some extent,

Why distros still have screen tearing? This is the reason I can't use it as my main OS!
Every year I try to switch to Linux full time. My laptop had screen tearing, my laptop now has screen tearing...
"TrearFree" fixes is but not fully. And the video quality is still bad compared to when using Windows 10.
Why it's so hard to fix it and what's the reason this to happen?
Tried Mx Linux, Lubuntu, Solus, Mint - All of them had it.
I have: Intel HD Graphics
I know it's old and not powerful but the video card is used on many laptops so it's not something "rare" to happen only to me.
