2080 ti died on me. Need to find a good replacement that will fit my power and board

As noscript says. On Christmas day my gpu died on me.
I've been looking at upgrading instead of replacing while I've got the option.
Only trouble is I've never had to before, so as far as I know or have the capability to do is replace it almost like for like.
That means it needs to fit my board and power supply.

It looks like a 4070 ti is a great upgrade option. It has similar power demands, same amount of pins on the power. Slightly bigger but should still fit
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-4070-ti.c3950

Big issue in having is when I search online for the 4070 ti that is on the page above, they don't look anything like it. Most have 12 pins on the power supply from what I can see in the pictures, and 3 or two fans instead of the one in the link. so if that's wrong then idk if the power supply will be the same either, or if the techpowerup page is even correct.

Anyone know what's going on with my searches?

Or does anyone have a good suggestion for a upgrade that uses the same power demands?

NVIDIA Integer Scaling 4K/1080P vs Dual Mod Monitör 4K/1080p

I have a question regarding dual-mode monitors: Does the 1080p mode on a 4K/1080p dual-mode monitor provide the exact same image quality as a native 1080p monitor? I’ve been researching this but can't find a clear answer. I’d like a detailed explanation; if anyone is using one, could you share your experience? Another thing I'm curious about: I currently use a native 4K monitor that lacks a dual-mode feature. When I enable Integer Scaling in the NVIDIA Control Panel and switch to 1080p in-game, the image looks slightly sharper. Is this how dual-mode monitors actually function? Is the logic behind NVIDIA's Integer Scaling the same as the hardware-level dual-mode feature? Some users claim that the experience varies significantly by brand reporting blurriness on some screens while others look great. This uncertainty is very confusing for me. Could someone compare NVIDIA Integer Scaling with dual-mode monitors and tell me if it’s just a marketing gimmick (a 'money trap') or if it’s actually a worthwhile investment?

5080 FE vs 5090 msi suprim

So here my situation. I game at 4k 240hz oIed… do use DLSS and FG if i can in any game.

Was able to score a bestbuy

5080 FE = $999

Was also able to score today at microcenter (open box)

5090 msi Suprim =$2400

Heard that suprim is up there with the best and also the highest top air cooling card for MSI.

Seeing the ram situation and how everything is increasing in the market. Seeing how easy to find a 5080 and hard to find a 5090 for a decent price.

Which one should I keep long term?

Just upgraded from a 3080 to 5070 ti and have the same issue people had 9 months ago

Hello I just upgraded from a 3080 to a 5070 ti and i'm encountering a worrisome issue, I have looked up the issue and people were getting the exact same problem 9 months ago with many kind of work around.

I have the latest driver and this is happening on the monitor that is plugged with an hdmi cable.

Is this an hardware issue, should I exchange the gpu ? I am not sure what to do since this is a pretty serious problem and does not seem to be fixed almost a year later.

I tried 3 monitors and only one did not have the problem, tried multiple hdmi cables too.

What should I do ?

FPS counter bug?

Hey everyone! I’m having a bit of a strange issue here. So I’ll start by saying I’ve been using Nvidia’s fps counter for several years now and never had this issues before. When gaming on almost all of my games besides one game in particular my fps counter is seeming to bug out horribly, it is dropping down to 2 fps and remains that way until I restart the pc.

I recently last night reloaded windows with a fresh install and have DDUd the gpu 3 different times on safe mode. (I recently upgraded to a PNY 5070 from a MSI 3060, my 3060 never had this issue) my system is on par to run a 5070 as I have a EVGA 1600 watt psu.

I haven’t seen this issue being talked about and wondering if anyone else is suffering from this weird bug as

RTX 5080 vs RTX 5070 ti... RTX 5080 the better value card for new gaming build?

At first glance, my assertion is wrong. 33% more expensive for 15% more performance. However, when you are building a new system, you need to consider the total price of your system, since a GPU cannot be used in isolation.

I faced this situation a week ago. I was doing an 9800x3d build on a nice mobo and a good 64 gb of ram (I got a fantasitc deal on it, don't actually need this much for gaming).

My total system cost, without the GPU is $2600 CAD. The cheapest 5070 ti I can get is $1175 CAD while an RTX 5080 is $1640. My total system cost is therefore $3775 CAD or $4240 CAD.

So that's about a 12% increase in cost for a 15% increase in cost.

I am going with the 5080 all day. I also needed a monitor. So if I factor this in, that increase will go to probably around 10% more total cost.

In 4 or 5 years, when the 7000 series comes out, I will probably upgrade my GPU only and at that time my calculation will be different.

GPU Upgrade

Het everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from RX 6800XT before the RAM crisis spreads to GPU market. I want to upgrade to either RTX 5070 TI or RTX 5080, but I'm not sure which model to choose. For me visually  MSI RTX 5070 Ti INSPIRE 3X OC looks really cool and costs reasonably, but since I'm not sure how long the crisis will go on so I'm thinking RTX 5080 would be a more worthwhile choice, but MSI RTX 5080 INSPIRE 3X OC costs unreasonably high, so I'm thinking of getting a 5080 from a more affordable segment.
Here are some more affordable ones that I found:

Inno3D RTX 5080 X3 OC
KFA2 RTX 5080 CORE OC 3FAN RGB
MSI GeForce RTX 5080 VENTUS 3X OC PLUS
MSI GeForce RTX 5080 SHADOW 3X OC

Are there some dealbreakers or known issues with these gpus that make their pricing lower? Which one would you recommend?

MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16G GAMING TRIO OC - Opinions

I have been looking to get a new gpu since I upgraded my pc a while back. I was looking at this 5080 but the only reviews I could find are from when it released/ 9+ months ago. Does anyone have this gpu and would recommend it or if there were any other gpu's that I should look at before getting it. I been searching and found this so I just wanted to hear from you guys who have it and have already been using it.
