5080 FE vs 5090 msi suprim

So here my situation. I game at 4k 240hz oIed… do use DLSS and FG if i can in any game.

Was able to score a bestbuy

5080 FE = $999

Was also able to score today at microcenter (open box)

5090 msi Suprim =$2400

Heard that suprim is up there with the best and also the highest top air cooling card for MSI.

Seeing the ram situation and how everything is increasing in the market. Seeing how easy to find a 5080 and hard to find a 5090 for a decent price.

Which one should I keep long term?

Just upgraded from a 3080 to 5070 ti and have the same issue people had 9 months ago

Hello I just upgraded from a 3080 to a 5070 ti and i'm encountering a worrisome issue, I have looked up the issue and people were getting the exact same problem 9 months ago with many kind of work around.

I have the latest driver and this is happening on the monitor that is plugged with an hdmi cable.

Is this an hardware issue, should I exchange the gpu ? I am not sure what to do since this is a pretty serious problem and does not seem to be fixed almost a year later.

I tried 3 monitors and only one did not have the problem, tried multiple hdmi cables too.

What should I do ?

Here is some other posts with this issue

FPS counter bug?

Hey everyone! I’m having a bit of a strange issue here. So I’ll start by saying I’ve been using Nvidia’s fps counter for several years now and never had this issues before. When gaming on almost all of my games besides one game in particular my fps counter is seeming to bug out horribly, it is dropping down to 2 fps and remains that way until I restart the pc.

I recently last night reloaded windows with a fresh install and have DDUd the gpu 3 different times on safe mode. (I recently upgraded to a PNY 5070 from a MSI 3060, my 3060 never had this issue) my system is on par to run a 5070 as I have a EVGA 1600 watt psu.

I haven’t seen this issue being talked about and wondering if anyone else is suffering from this weird bug as

RTX 5080 vs RTX 5070 ti... RTX 5080 the better value card for new gaming build?

At first glance, my assertion is wrong. 33% more expensive for 15% more performance. However, when you are building a new system, you need to consider the total price of your system, since a GPU cannot be used in isolation.

I faced this situation a week ago. I was doing an 9800x3d build on a nice mobo and a good 64 gb of ram (I got a fantasitc deal on it, don't actually need this much for gaming).

My total system cost, without the GPU is $2600 CAD. The cheapest 5070 ti I can get is $1175 CAD while an RTX 5080 is $1640. My total system cost is therefore $3775 CAD or $4240 CAD.

So that's about a 12% increase in cost for a 15% increase in cost.

I am going with the 5080 all day. I also needed a monitor. So if I factor this in, that increase will go to probably around 10% more total cost.

In 4 or 5 years, when the 7000 series comes out, I will probably upgrade my GPU only and at that time my calculation will be different.

GPU Upgrade

Het everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from RX 6800XT before the RAM crisis spreads to GPU market. I want to upgrade to either RTX 5070 TI or RTX 5080, but I'm not sure which model to choose. For me visually  MSI RTX 5070 Ti INSPIRE 3X OC looks really cool and costs reasonably, but since I'm not sure how long the crisis will go on so I'm thinking RTX 5080 would be a more worthwhile choice, but MSI RTX 5080 INSPIRE 3X OC costs unreasonably high, so I'm thinking of getting a 5080 from a more affordable segment.
Here are some more affordable ones that I found:

Inno3D RTX 5080 X3 OC
KFA2 RTX 5080 CORE OC 3FAN RGB
MSI GeForce RTX 5080 VENTUS 3X OC PLUS
MSI GeForce RTX 5080 SHADOW 3X OC

Are there some dealbreakers or known issues with these gpus that make their pricing lower? Which one would you recommend?

MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16G GAMING TRIO OC - Opinions

I have been looking to get a new gpu since I upgraded my pc a while back. I was looking at this 5080 but the only reviews I could find are from when it released/ 9+ months ago. Does anyone have this gpu and would recommend it or if there were any other gpu's that I should look at before getting it. I been searching and found this so I just wanted to hear from you guys who have it and have already been using it.

Upgrade from 4070 Ti Super to 5070 Ti

Hello,

I currently have an Asus 4070 Ti Super TUF. Works fine, all good. I play BF6 on almost all high/ultra, at 1440p with DLAA and DLSS quality. It's locked at 138fps, with occasional dips down to 100fps depending on what's going on.

I'm travelling to the US near a Microcentre and see they have an Asus 5070 Ti TUF for $849.99.

If I include the taxes then convert to £, it's £678. I reckon, I can sell my used 4070 Ti Super on eBay locally for £600 or there abouts.

This means a £78 upgrade from 4070 Ti Super to 5070 Ti. The downside is I have no longer have local RMA support.

I know the cards themselves aren't much different in raw performance, but I read that DLSS 4 is a considerable upgrade over DLSS 3. Given I'm using it in battlefield, I thought it may be relevant?

Thoughts on such an upgrade considering price and losing RMA. Would you do it?
