How to Delink from this Reality
Don Juan told a technique to Carlos: focus on the shadows and not any object. This would be a deliberate act not to focus hard on any object around you and consciously focus on the shadows around objects.
Robert Pirsig said: look through the corner of your eyes, increase the span you can see. This too unfocuses the eyes from overemphasis on the reality at hand and propels one to have a wider grasp of things.
Jose Silva has a simple idea: close your eyes and look up twenty degrees, thoughts will cease.
All these techniques are, most probably, to take us from Beta State (normal waking state) to the Alpha State (Meditative State).
Many ancient doctrines emphasize on ceasing the hyperactive mental activity in order to "see God". We could interpret in our own way: to "exit this parasite Metaverse".
