💥 On 21 Dec 2022, a missile strike was carried out at the base of the 73rd Naval Special Operations Centre of the Ukrainian Navy in #Ochakov.

♦️According to Military Chronicle, the arrivals targeted hangars with weapons and ammunition, as well as a training centre for combat swimmers.

🔹In total, at least five rockets were fired at the Navy's military facilities. Presumably, the 300-mm rockets of Smerch multiple launch rocket systems hit the target and triggered the detonation of ammunition, underbarrel grenades for AGS grenade launchers and rounds for anti-tank grenade launchers.

🔹At least 12 people were killed and 23 more Ukrainian servicemen, including three officers, were seriously wounded when the rockets struck Ukrainian naval units.

🔹Due to a wrong assessment of the potential enemy, in less than a month the losses of officers in all units of the Ukrainian army in #Bakhmut exceeded 250 people. Because of tactical errors, units trained to NATO standards in Germany were repeatedly ambushed and tried to take cover in buildings previously sheltered by the 152 mm Giatcint-S and Msta-B guns.

🔹Another reason for the deaths from fleeing artillery fire in open terrain was the shortage of armoured vehicles. Most attempts to counterattack "banded" positions in the suburbs of #Bakhmut were conducted without the cover of tanks and APCs, and infantry units were transported to the battlefield mainly in pick-up trucks without armour.

Then reserves were sent from #Konstantinovka to support, whereupon the AFU combat groups managed to break through and stabilise the situation. However, AFU losses in this area amounted to 20 killed and 16 wounded.

▪️ On the night of 22 December, the 28th Mechanized Brigade regrouped and shelled Russian positions in #Kurdyumovka from Belaya Gora with several tanks.

▪️ Fighting continues in #Opytnoye on Shkolnaya Street. Ukrainian troops have set up additional strongholds in multi-storey buildings in the private sector west of the street.

♦️#Soledar Section:

Units of the 3rd Battalion of the 25th Airborne Brigade have arrived in #Soledar for a counterattack on #Bakhmutskoye.

♦️#Toretsk (#Dzerzhinsk) Section:
