▪️ On the night of 22 December, the 28th Mechanized Brigade regrouped and shelled Russian positions in #Kurdyumovka from Belaya Gora with several tanks.

▪️ Fighting continues in #Opytnoye on Shkolnaya Street. Ukrainian troops have set up additional strongholds in multi-storey buildings in the private sector west of the street.

♦️#Soledar Section:

Units of the 3rd Battalion of the 25th Airborne Brigade have arrived in #Soledar for a counterattack on #Bakhmutskoye.

In addition to pressure from the state, political parties, religious organizations and sects, there is also a threat from a significant part of the population of Western Ukraine, Belarus and Poland. They stand out for their sharp aggression directed specifically at the Orthodox, and are intent on any form of violence against them. Now this public is used pointwise and kept on a short leash, but everything is going to the fact that at any moment they can be given complete freedom of action.

♦️Yemeni army commanders operating jointly with Houthis announced that on July 4 (US Independence Day), a drone strike (according to other reports, an Iranian-made cruise missile) destroyed the Patriot SAM system covering a group of Saudi and Sudanese mercenaries on the border between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

In addition, after the Patriot SAM had already been hit (it was allegedly in an undeployed position), a Badr-1 ballistic missile (of Iranian origin) in Marib province successfully hit a cluster of Saudi and Sudanese infantry, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy, including 12 senior officers.

🔹Already the fighting in 2017-2018 has clearly shown that against the Houthis' strike assets, the Patriot SAM is lame to say the least (with adjustments for the quality of the Saudi military).

♦️The most famous stories are:

🔹1. a ballistic missile attack on Riyadh's international airport by the Houthis. The missile passed over the air defence umbrella and landed safely 1.5 kilometres from the international terminal. Had the Houthis been more precise, the consequences for Saudi Arabia would have been very bleak.

🔹2. the attacks on the airport in Asir province. During the summer of 2019, the Houthis launched between 15 and 20 attacks on the airport with missiles and UAVs. The Saudis were able to shoot down some of them, but some flew back (hitting the terminal, car park, takeoff and surrounding buildings). The air defence system performed poorly, to put it mildly.

🔹3. attacks on Jizan port and Saudi Aramco oil facilities - since 2016 there have been several hits on the port area, on the pipeline infrastructure leading to Jizan and on one of the Saudi Aramco facilities. The Saudis were only able to shoot down a fraction of what was launched from Yemen.

🔹4. While repelling an attack on a Saudi town in Jizan province, one of the Patriot SAMs malfunctioned and landed on the town, causing some damage. Some of the Hussite missiles passed through the air defence umbrella and hit Saudis' military installations.

🔹5. Approximately 4-5 military bases inside Saudi Arabia have been hit by rocket attacks since 2017, with casualties in manpower and military property. Observers have also noted strange air deficiencies in these attacks, even when they have involved bases near Riyadh.
