A Farewell Counsel
Shaykh Rabīʿ ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī – may Allah have mercy on him – said on on the First Day of Eid al-Adha 1441:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and all his companions. To proceed:
I enjoin upon myself and upon you the fear of Allah – Mighty and Majestic – and sincerity to Allah in every word and deed, and diligence in seeking knowledge, and diligence in spreading the Salafi daʿwah with utmost striving, strength, and firm resolve. Strive earnestly in spreading this great call, the call of the Prophets – upon them be peace. So let us proceed upon the way of the Prophets – upon them be peace – by giving due attention to this daʿwah and spreading it in every place to which we are able to convey this call.
I ask Allah to grant everyone success in that which He loves and is pleased with, and to grant steadfastness upon the Book of Allah and upon the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him.
May Allah grant everyone success in that which He loves and is pleased with. And peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah, and His blessings.

[What a striking resemblance between our late Shaykh and the trials of yesterday…]
Shaykh ‘Abd Allah bin ‘Abd al-Raḥīm al Bukhārī (may Allah preserve him) said:
Ibn al-Jawzī relates in Manāqib al-Imām Aḥmad (p. 148), on the authority of al-Khallāl, who said: al-Maimūnī reported:
I heard ʿAlī ibn al-Madīnī say: ‘No one supported the cause of Islam after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal did.’ It was asked of him: ‘Not even Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq?’ He responded: ‘Not even Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq — for Abū Bakr had helpers and companions, whereas Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal had neither helpers nor companions.’
I say: Subḥān Allāh! How closely the condition of our Shaykh, Imām al-Rabīʿ—may Allah have mercy upon him—resembled that of Imām Aḥmad in his time, as described by Ibn al-Madīnī. He fought with both pen and tongue against the people of disbelief, heresy, misleading innovations, and the figureheads of deviation and misguidance. He refuted them with decisive proofs and clear arguments. Yet his misguided enemies fabricated all kinds of slanders and blatant lies against him.
Despite this, many who now—after his death—boast of having benefited from him and claim to acknowledge his precedence in defending the Sunnah were noticeably absent when he was being viciously maligned by the people of kufr, zandaqah, bidʿah, and hawa. Where were they in defending him and the truth he stood for and clarified?
Many simply stood as idle spectators. Some adopted the stance of gloating critics, malicious backbiters, or demoralizers, failing to fulfill their religious duty of supporting the truth and its people. But our Shaykh—may Allah have mercy on him—paid no attention to that, for he knew for certain that no one walks the path of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except that they encounter enmity. As narrated in the Ṣaḥīḥ of al-Bukhārī.
May Allah have mercy on our Shaykh and make his efforts and the valuable scholarly legacy he left behind a continuous charity for him after his death. Allāhumma āmīn.

[As the Lights Fade, What Lurks in the Shadows Creeps Forward]
With the passing of our Shaykh, al-ʿAllāmah Rabeeʿ ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī رحمه الله, it is no surprise that disgruntled ḥizbiyyīn have begun to stir. For decades, the Shaykh faithfully and precisely clarified the methodology of daʿwah and reform, dismantling false principles and exposing their promoters across the globe.
Now, some of his opponents—long suppressed by the force of his clarity—are crawling out from their holes. Some seek to rewrite the narrative. Others go further, attempting to crown themselves as khulafāʾ, appointing themselves judges over groups, individuals, and methodologies—using the very principles—rooted in the extremes of tamyīʿ and ḥaddādiyyah—that the Shaykh had long refuted and dismantled. None of this is surprising.
But the answer to chaos is not clamor—it is clarity.
➤ Be busied with sound knowledge.
➤ Strengthen the bonds of unity and brotherhood upon the Sunnah.
➤ Spread the speech of qualified and trustworthy mashāyikh who remain firm upon the path.
Let the attention-seekers exhaust themselves with noise and nonsense. We must remain grounded—in revelation, sincerity, and the inheritance of the scholars. Now more than ever.

🟥 The Venom of Serpents and Scorpions Emerges after the Death of the Imām of al-Jarḥ wa al-Taʿdīl: Shaykh Rabīʿ 🟥
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy
All praise is due to Allah, the All-Powerful, the Almighty. May peace and blessings be upon the one who was a model for all who affirm the Oneness of Allah. To proceed:
After the passing of the Imām of this era, Rabīʿ—Rabīʿ of the Sunnah—may Allah’s countless mercies be upon him, the scorpions and serpents have slithered from their holes, spewing their venom. Yet the men of Ahl al-Sunnah, those raised by Shaykh Rabīʿ upon truth, the Sunnah, the path of the Salaf, courage, and sincerity to Allah, stand alert and ready, by the permission of Allah the Exalted. Their weapon is knowledge, the Sunnah, and the legacy of the Salaf.
May Allah have mercy on Ibn al-Qayyim who wrote in his Nūniyyah:
Supporting the religion is an individual obligation,
Not merely a communal one (to be neglected or deferred).
O Lord, make them firm upon faith,
And appoint them as guides for the lost and bewildered.
Grant them victory against the deniers, For they are an army of affirmers — the people of truth and recognition.

In every era, across the span of time.
Make them leaders of the righteous,
Sustained with excellence and certainty.

They guide with the command the Messenger was sent with,
To all varieties of people.
They do not introduce religion from their own minds,
But follow the truth with firm evidence.
Strengthen them with truth and grant them victory through it—
A mighty victory, for You are the Possessor of Sovereignty.
Forgive their sins and rectify their affairs,
For You are the One worthy of forgiveness and pardon.
May Allah have mercy on Ibn al-Qayyim. May Allah have mercy on Rabīʿ of the Sunnah. And we, if Allah wills, shall continue upon this Salafī path by the aid of Allah, defending our religion, the Sunnah of our Prophet, and the methodology of our righteous predecessors—until death.
So we ask Allah for firmness in our commitment, for resolve upon righteousness, for the causes of His mercy and the means to His forgiveness.
We ask Him to grant victory to the Salafīs over those who follow desires and partisan factions as their guides.
And Allah is the Guide to the Straight Path.
The radiant Sunnah shall prevail—and the Lord of the worlds is our Supporter and Ally.
May peace and blessings be upon the chosen Prophet and the selected Messenger, and upon his noble family and distinguished Companions.

📜 A Poet Said:
❝Whoever is reared in childhood upon a thing and becomes infatuated with it,
Will grow grey upon it, never healed of its afflictions.❞
— from Lāmiyyat al-Baḥrayn
by ʿAbd al-Muḥsin ibn Muḥammad al-Ṣaḥḥāf (d. 1351 AH)
🔹 Reflection:
What a child is raised upon becomes his lifelong burden or blessing. The soul grows old still clinging to what once captured it in youth.

[A Beautiful Duʿāʾ on Contentment & Dignity]
Salam ibn Qāniʿ used to say in his supplication:
“O Allah, provide for us ḥalāl provision—without hardship, without arrogance, without anyone holding a favor over us, without shame in this world, and without deficiency in the Hereafter.”
This profound duʿāʾ seeks a sustenance that is pure and dignified, free from fatigue, pride, humiliation, or spiritual loss. It reminds us that true richness is not just in the hands, but in the heart and self.

I encourage everyone to tune in. May Allah bless our elder, beloved brother Shaykh Abu Muhammad Ridhwān. His beautiful memories of Shaykh Rabee’ are a testament to the decades of genuine love and access this Imam gave to his sons in the Dawah from the East to the West. Lessons on the importance of knowledge, wisdom, and mercy.

The da’wah arena is spacious enough for all Salafi callers. We should rejoice when we see a shaykh or a student of knowledge calling to the truth with knowledge, teaching, and spreading goodness. In fact, we should extend a helping hand to him, not rejoice over his missteps or rush to bring him down as if he were a rogue enemy of the Sunnah.
Where is the mercy among those who follow the same methodology?
Where is the command, “𝗗𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿”?
We must be cautious of those who infiltrate the ranks of students of knowledge, fishing in troubled waters under the guise of “strength in methodology” or driven by personal motives seeking vengeance.
We should strive to follow the path of the devout & nurturing scholars, those who judge with truth and deal justly among the people when called to make a ruling.
As for the question, “How should advice be given if someone makes a mistake?” — the method of giving advice is well known and clearly established among the people of knowledge, not among those whose only concern is gossip and idle talk.

🧷 [Stay Dignified: As a Muslim Should Be]
(1/2) restructured post
Ibn al Qayyim said:
As for the nobility of the soul, it lies in guarding it from lowly behavior, base qualities, and the greedy ambitions that break the necks of men. One elevates his soul above casting it into such disgraceful pursuits. This noble bearing arises from two virtuous traits: honoring and dignifying the soul, and holding in reverent awe its Master and Sovereign—too majestic to have a servant who is debased, lowly, or despicable. From these two virtues is born the soul’s dignity and its protection.
The foundation of all this is the soul’s readiness and its inner disposition—along with the assistance and providence of its Guardian and Master. If this preparedness and aid are absent, then all good is lost.
📚 Ibn al-Qayyim, al-Rūḥ, vol. 2, p. 656ز (Riyadh: Dār ʿAṭāʾāt al-ʿIlm; Beirut: Dār Ibn Ḥazm, 4th ed., 1440 AH / 2019 CE).
As Ibn Al Qayyim highlights above, dignity is naturally prized and then enhanced by comprehending that respecting Allah and His religion require the honorable Muslim not subject himself to debasement.
Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
"A believer should not humiliate himself." They asked: "How does he humiliate himself?" He said: "By subjecting himself to trials that he cannot bear."
📚 See: Al-Silsilah al-Ṣaḥīḥ 614.
Hopefully, you were raised with dignity and healthy common sense and already know:
The greater good does not require you to be belittled, sonned (i.e., treated like a child), or stepped on by petty tyrants desperate to feel important.
Too many today weaponize scraps of influence to pull rank and play superior over perceived “lessers” for the flimsiest of reasons. Flatten those fake hierarchies. Discard the imaginary pecking orders. Leave the crabs in the barrel to keep pulling each other down.
The smartest move in a silly game is not to play at all. Our religion is one of dignity and grace.
And when you see someone abusing their inflated sense of self-importance to micromanage invented grievances, remind yourself—with all due respect—that’s just a guy. A JAG.
Where does that weigh up in the scales of ʿilm, adab, and ʿaql?
It’s nothing but a desperate bid for attention and control. Don’t feed it.
🛑 Be especially cautious when apologizing for someone else’s warped misunderstanding. Your attempt at reconciliation may be weaponized into a confession of guilt and used to convict you in absentia in a kangaroo court.
Too many people today are high-conflict personalities addicted to grievance. They twist words, invent offenses, and treat simple disagreement like betrayal and cancellable offenses. That’s not your burden.
You are accountable for your intent and action—not for how someone misreads it.
📌 The early Muslims said it best:
“The most humiliated of people is the one who apologizes to a vile person.”
📚 Majmaʿ al-Amthāl, 1/281, al-Maydānī (d. 518 AH)
And Imām al-Shāfiʿī warned:
“He who apologizes without having done wrong imposes guilt upon himself.”
