BEEF series: WTF they ate to have such Psychedelics effect⁉️
SPOILER WARNING
I bet you probably saw this and you maybe have a question, what exactly they ate for those halucenogetic effects.
While I can't say for sure and there is no information on the internet Im almost certain it was a Belladonna
Why?
Well first of all there are not so many psychoactive berries but it's not the main thing.
The second, we see that it's very poisoneus since they were vomiting a lot. Belladonna is also extremely toxic.
But the main thing is that the effect demonstrated in the movie doesn't look like a classical Psychedelics effect from typical serotonin-receptor activation drugs (Psylocibin,LSD, DMT, Mescaline etc..) which perturbs perception system in our brain.
The effect is different and is reminding the effects from trophana alcaloids (Atropine, Scopolamine, etc) which are a main psychoactive components of Belladonna. Those trophanes affect our error detection and synchronization system in the brain which synchronize our internal prediction module with external perception module. That's why she saw a different types of Psychodelics effect in the movie compared to classical hallucinations. like when movie character saw a tree branch instead of a gun. Internal prediction system decided that it's more likely in current environment to see a tree branch and since the error correction system was turned off by trophanes the information form perception that it's actually a gun haven't appeared and as a result a movie character experienced such trip.
"The tropane alkaloids are notable in that they often elicit what are called true hallucinations — these aren’t visions that are recognisable as such, but hallucinations that blend perfectly with the environment. With the classic psychedelics, the user is, more often than not, aware that their eyes-open visuals are distinct from the normal waking world. However, this is not always the case with the tropanes. When consumed orally, the effects are often delayed and can sneak up on the user, who might assume the plant to be inactive, only to realise some time later that they spent the preceding two hours entertaining guests at a party that never happened. In this way, tropane intoxication is often likened more to a waking dream than a psychedelic trip" - from Reality Switch Technologies book.
Now you can share it with friends and pretend to be smart person. 🤪

Next-level CRISPR gene editing: No viruses required
“Basically, what we’ve done is taken this template DNA and damaged it,” said Chris Richardson, corresponding author of the study. “We’ve in fact damaged it in the most severe way I can think of. And the cell doesn’t say, ‘Hey, this is junk; let me throw it away.’ What the cell actually says is, ‘Hey, this looks great; let me stick it into my genome.’”

Next-level CRISPR gene editing: No viruses required
Modified viruses have proven a handy way to get CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing materials into the nucleus of cells – but they're expensive, difficult to scale and potentially toxic. Now, researchers have found a non-viral approach that does the job better.

Researchers Are Mapping DMT Dimensions Through DMTx Tech
Seems like DMTX is finally started and we will see more exciting news from various labs all over the world.
Any friends anesthesiologists?😁
"But that doesn’t mean we can’t have some kind of mapping. One can think about Level mapping for example, so do different levels of intensity experience reliably take you to different types of spaces? Is there a progression? I mean people talk already, about you know, moving to the waiting room and then the dome. There has already been developed in a very informal sense, a certain kind of mapping of the space.”

Until now, these procedures were sometimes very labor-intensive and took several months. The team of researchers led by Michael Heide has now developed a method that allows brain organoids to be genetically manipulated quickly and cost-effectively.
"We use microinjection and electroporation for our method," Heide explains. "In this process, genetic material is injected into the organoids with a very thin cannula and introduced into the cells with the help of a small electrical pulse. It takes only a few minutes, and the brain organoids can be analyzed after a few days
