Producers of Netflix's hit show 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' and AIMC, a subsidiary of Korean drama film company Astory, are launching an NFT collection to raise public awareness of autism.

The protagonist of the show "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" is a charming and successful lawyer who suffers from autism. In the series, Woo is obsessed with whales, they serve as a visual cue for her.

For this reason, AIMC's Extraordinary Whale Club NFT collection is inspired by whales. It is also important that The Extraordinary Whales Club is environmentally friendly.

The creators of the collection hope that through this project they will be able to raise public awareness about autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and give people with ASD a new symbol.

⚡️ Indian startup NFT democratizes art

Artfi, an Indian startup, has challenged the fine art space by fractionizing valuable artworks into limited edition NFTs.

The startup has already raised $3.26 million from several investors. Artfi was launched with the goal of making art accessible to everyone. By buying NFTs, people will invest in fine arts.

NFTs will be minted in the landfill network. Work is also underway to create a museum in the metaverse, where the art collection will always be available.

Eventually, the company will resell the art owned by the Artfi Museum on behalf of the NFT holders and share the profits with each NFT holder holding shares in the painting.

🚀 MTV viewers will choose the best performance in the metaverse

The MTV channel has introduced a new nomination for the MTV Video Music Awards — "Best Performance in the Metaverse".

🚀 PayPal adds cryptocurrency services to its mobile app

PayPal announced on its official Twitter account the full integration of cryptocurrencies into its mobile application.

Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC) are now available for PayPal mobile app users to buy, sell, hold, and transfer.

Previously, digital assets could not be withdrawn to external wallets. Since June of this year, this opportunity has appeared for a limited number of users, and now transactions with cryptocurrency in the application can be performed without restrictions.

The minimum amount of a cryptocurrency purchase transaction is $1. To use cryptocurrency as a payment method for purchases, you will have to complete the W-9 tax form in the application.

⚡️ Australian petrol station brand On The Run starts accepting crypto payments

A major Australian petrol station brand called On The Run (OTR) has launched crypto payment support across all 175 of its petrol stations. Now its visitors will be able to pay for fuel and snacks with cryptocurrency.

⚡️ Telecommunications giant LG moves deeper into NFT space

The well-known South Korean telecommunications company LGU+ plans to release a new batch of NFTs in September. The main star of the new tokens will be the octopus-like animated character Moono.

LG's first NFT collection, released on the OpenSea platform back in May, sold out in just 2 seconds. It included 200 tokens with Moono characters enjoying different days of the week.

The second collection will include 1000 NFTs with animated Moono characters. Buyers of five tokens will be able to claim tickets to the Legoland theme park, and anyone who completes the set will receive a Moono toy.

⚡️Formula 1 files NFT trademark application

It looks like Formula 1 is planning to introduce digital collectibles, NFTs, and support for cryptocurrency payments.

On August 23, two new trademark filings were filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The filings included a long list of services and products that the company would offer during next year's race.

Clear references to NFTs and cryptocurrency-related services have been seen in this list. NFTs will represent the ownership of a variety of real-life items, such as automotive equipment, decorative items, clothes, bags, wallets, and even "perfumes".

It also notes “downloadable computer software for managing cryptocurrency transactions using blockchain technology.” This may indicate that the organizers of the race are preparing to support cryptocurrency payments.

🚀 FIFA launches football-themed NFT platform

On the eve of the World Cup, FIFA announced the launch of its own football-themed NFT platform.

“Just like sports memorabilia and stickers, this is an affordable way for fans around the world to connect with their favorite players, moments, and more on new platforms,” said FIFA Commercial Director Romi Guy.

The platform is scheduled to launch at the end of September this year, it will be called FIFA+ Collect and will run on the Algorand blockchain. Here, fans will be able to buy "low-cost and inclusive" NFTs with a variety of football moments.
