SOMEONE IN SICKNESS, HOW DOES HE FORGET TO SAY:
۞ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
"Verily, distress has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy." (21:83)
DON'T YOU SEE WHAT ALLAH SAYS AFTERWARDS?
۞ فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِ مِنْ ضُرٍّ
"So We answered his call, and We removed the distress that was on him." (21:84)

People would automatically stop complaining about the problems which they face in their daily lives when they start contemplating on the saying of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم:
قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ، وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ
Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “A strong believer is better and dearer to Allaah than a weak one, and both are good. Adhere to that which is beneficial for you. Keep asking Allaah for help and do not refrain from it. If you are afflicted in any way, do not say: 'If I had taken this or that step, it would have resulted into such and such,' but say only:
قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ، وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ
Qaddar-Allaahu, wa maa shaa’ fal
‘Allaah has Decreed, and what He wills He does.' The word 'if' opens the gates of satanic thoughts". [Sunan Ibn Maajah]
In Saheeh Muslim, the wordings are:
قَدَرُ اللهِ وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ
Qadar-ullaahi, wa maa shaa’ fal
'It is the Decree of Allaah, and what He wills He does.'

✒ And With Hardship There’s Relief

Abu Umamah Al-Bahili reported:
Two men were mentioned before the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, one of them was a worshiper and the other was a scholar. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
The superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like my superiority over the least of you; verily, Allah, His angels, and the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, even the ant in his hole, even the fish, send blessings upon the one who teaches people to do good.

IF A PERSON LOVES HIS BROTHER HE SHOULD INFORM HIM OF THAT
It was narrated in the authentic hadīth that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"If a person loves his brother then he should inform him of that." *
This includes calling him with names that he loves the most. 'Umar Ibn al-Khattāb (radiyAllāhu'anhu) said: 'Three things make your brother's love (wadd) for you pure: that you greet him when you see him, that you give him space in a gathering, and that you call him with names that you love the most.'
This also includes praising him for his fine qualities that one is aware of when that influences those who are present. One should also praise his children, family, and actions. In fact, the principle applies even to his character, intellect, appearance, handwriting, authoring, and everything that causes joy as long as one does not go too far and does not speak lies.
You should also tell him if someone else has praised him and show him your happiness for that. Hiding something like this is pure jealousy.
* Tirmidhī #2393 and Abū Dawūd #5124; it is authentic as stated by the author.

"A MUSLIM IS THE BROTHER OF ANOTHER MUSLIM; HE DOES NOT WRONG HIM AND HE DOES NOT FORSAKE HIM." *
Whenever a person neglects defending the honor of his brother, he has forsaken him. To estimate the situation, consider it from two angles:
Firstly, assume that what is being said about him would be said about you in his presence-then say what you would like him to say.
Secondly, assume that he is listening behind the wall-whatever your heart (qalb) would tell you to say in his defense in his presence, it should tell you the same in his absence. If one is not sincere (muklis) in his brotherhood, he is a hypocrite.

THE BEAUTY OF SILENCE 🌸
Ibn Hazm (رحمة الله) stated:
"How beautiful is silence with regards to sensitive/touchy issues! How many times have we witnessed those who were destroyed by their speech! Yet, we have never seen anyone, whom it has reached us about, who was destroyed by his silence."

📝 Is Black a Must⁉️
Many women choose to wear black, not because it is obligatory, but because it is farthest removed from being an adornment.
There are reports which indicate that the women of the Sahaabah used to wear black. Abu Dawood narrated that Umm Salamah said:
“When the words ‘and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)’ [al-Noor 24:31 – interpretation of the meaning] were revealed, the women of the Ansaar went out looking as if there were crows on their heads because of their garments.”
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood (4101)
The Standing Committee (17/110) said: This is to be understood as meaning that those clothes were black in colour.

Your Interaction With Allaah
So, good manners in one's interactions with Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic with regards to the prayer include: offering them while the heart is tranquil and relaxed, being content and pleased within the prayer, and eagerly awaiting the time of the next prayer. Once you have prayed the Fajr (pre-dawn) Prayer, you look forward to Thuhr (noon) prayer. Once you have prayed Thuhr (noon) Prayer, you look forward to 'Asr (afternoon) Prayer. Once you have prayed 'Asr Prayer, you look forward to Maghrib (post-sunset) Prayer. Once you have prayed Maghrib Prayer, you look forward to 'Eshaa' (night) Prayer. Once you have prayed 'Eshaa' Prayer, you look forward to Fajr (pre-dawn) Prayer.
So let your heart become attached to these prayers, as this is certainly a way to have good manners in your interaction with Allaah, the Exalted.

Guidelines to Conduct a Self-Assessment...
By Ibn Al-Qayyim (d.751H) who said, “And mankind, with regard to their performance of prayer are of five levels:
📌The First: The level of the one who is negligent and wrongs his soul. He is the one who falls short in performing ablution properly, performing the prayer upon its time and within its specified limits, and in fulfilling its essential pillars.
📌The Second: The one who guards his prayers upon their proper times and within their specified limits, fulfils their essential pillars and performs his ablution with care. However, his striving (in achieving the above) is wasted due to whisperings in his prayer so he is taken away by thoughts and ideas.
📌Third: The one who guards his prayers within the specified limits, fulfils their essential pillars and strives with himself to repel the whisperings, thoughts and ideas. He is busy struggling against his enemy (shaytaan) so that he does not steal from the prayer. On account of this he is engaged in (both) prayer and jihaad.
📌Fourth: The one who stands for the prayer, completes and perfects its due rights, its essential pillars, performs it within its specified limits and his heart becomes engrossed in safeguarding its rights and specified limits, so that nothing is wasted from it. His whole concern is directed towards its establishment, its completion and perfection, as it should be. His heart is immersed in the prayer and in enslavement to his Lord, the Exalted.
📌 Fifth: The one who stands for the prayer like the one mentioned above. However, on top of this, he has taken and placed his heart in front of his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, looking towards Him with his heart with anticipation, (his heart) filled with His love and His might, as if he sees and witnesses Allaah. The whisperings, thoughts and ideas have vanished and the coverings which are between him and his Lord are raised. What is between this person and others with respect to the prayer, is superior and greater than what is between the heavens and the earth. This person is busy with his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, delighted with Him.
The first type will be punished, the second type will be held to account, the third will have his sins and shortcomings expiated, the fourth will be rewarded and the fifth will be close to his Lord, because he will receive the portion of one who makes his prayer the delight and pleasure of his eye.
Whoever makes the prayer the delight and pleasure of his eye, will have the nearness to his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, made the delight and pleasure of his eye in the hereafter. He will also be made a pleasure to the eye in this world since whoever makes Allaah the pleasure of his eye in this world, every other eye will become delighted and pleased with him.”

*Ten Points for the First Ten days of Dhul-Hijjah*
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
الحمد لله و الصلاة و السلام على نبيينا محمد و على آله و سلم
📍1. The first ten days are actually nine days with the addition of the day of Eid. It is called the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, but only nine of it is for fasting as the tenth day is the beginning of Eid. It is impermissible to fast on the day of Eid, this is a consensus amongst the people of knowledge.
📍2. It is permissible to fast the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah with the last day being the day of Arafah for those not doing Hajj. The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said in a hadith narrated by ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما (in at-Tirimidhi): “There are not any days that good deeds are more beloved to Allah than those done in these ten days.”
📍3. In these days, it is recommended that there is a lot of remembrance of Allah سبحان و تعالى - this is for all of the ten days.
📍4. In these days, it is recommended that one makes takbir of Allah (saying Allahu akbar) - this is for all of the ten days.
📍5. In these days, it is recommended to read the Qur’an as much as possible and give charity - this is for all of the ten days.
📍6. The ninth day is the day of Arafah. The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم said in an authentic narration: “Verily on the day of Arafah there is expiation of sins for the year before and the year after” (narrated by Abi Qatada رضي الله عنه, reported in Sahih Muslim and At-Tirmidhi). So therefore it is a great day, so it is recommended to fast that day for those not doing Hajj. Fasting is only permissible for the first nine days as the tenth day is the day of Eid.
📍7. Allah تعالى said: “That they may witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e. reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade), and mention the name of Allah on appointed days (i.e. 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah), over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them (for sacrifice). (Surah al-Hajj: 28). Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما said: “The appointed days are the days of Arafah (9th), an-Nahr (10th) and the days of Tashreeq (11th, 12th and 13th ).
📍8. Whoever wishes to slaughter in these days it is not allowed to cut or remove any hair from his body or his nails, but this does not apply to his family, only the head of the family who is doing the slaughtering.
📍9. The ruling regards to slaughtering:
⭐ a. An individual who slaughters from his own wealth on behalf of himself and his family - It is not permissible for this individual to shave any hair from his body, remove any part of his skin or cut his nails.
⭐ b. An individual who slaughters from his own wealth for others e.g. he wishes to slaughter for his father or his mother - He too must not cut his hair, take from his skin or cut his nails.
⭐ c. Anybody who wishes to slaughter with someone else's wealth, for somebody else .e.g. He has been entrusted by someone else to slaughter cattle for him - This individual is allowed to cut his hair, nails and skin etc.
📍10. Eid Al-Adha is four days in total: the tenth (the day of Eid prayer) and the days of tashreeq (the eleventh, twelve and thirteenth days of Dhul-Hijjah). It is impermissible to fast in these days for those not performing the Hajj. The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم said: “The days of Tashreeq are days for eating, drinking and remembering Allah عز و جل” (narrated by Abi al-Maleeh رضي الله عنه, reported in Sahih Al-Muslim). Allah سبحان و تعالى said: "And remember Allah during the appointed Days." (Surah Al-Baqarah: 203).

TREAT PEOPLE AS YOU WOULD LIKE THEM TO TREAT YOU!
Al-Hasan said,
'Allāh revealed four things to Ādam ('alayhis-salām), and He said, "These things are the basis of all things for you and your children. One of which is for Me, another one is for you, one is between Me and you, and the other is between you and the people." As for the things that is for Me; it is that you must worship Me (alone) and not associate anything in worship with Me. The thing that is for you is that I will reward you for your deeds when you are most in need of the reward. The thing that is between Me and you is that you should supplicate to Me and I will answer your supplications. As for the thing that is between you and the people; it is that you should treat them as you would like them to treat you.'"
