"idk what ace person needs to hear this but

having intrusive thoughts about sexual things does not mean you are faking it ir "secretely allosexual".

intrusive thoughts are intrusive thoughts because they are stressful and unwanted. allosexual people arent tortured by their normal sexual thoughts"

["ace" being short for "asexual". can also be applied to things other than sexualities]

the first post of today, in an hour from now (12:01), will be arguably nsfw. there wont be any explicit content (as it is only text), but consider not opening it in front of people who you dont feel like getting questions from

anxiety, parenting, socialization

"the worst trick a childhood anxiety disorder pulls is, you spend your early years being applauded for being so much more mature than your peers, because you arent disruptive, you dont want any kind of attention, you dont express yourself [...] but you're actually way behind your peers in normal social development
[...]
convenient children do not equal healthy children"

boundaries, socialization, trauma

"agreeing to things just to keep the peace is actually a trauma response. when you do this you're disrespecting your boundaries. no more making yourself uncomfortable for others comfortability. you have control now. you run your life. take up space and use your voice"

disabled people: ...technically yes BUT"

lgbt, binding, body, invisible problems, chronic illness, socialization

"no offense but can ya'll like also normalize trans guys that DONT bind. like there's guys who dont want to, choose not to because of the risks, and guys who CANT because of medical reasons. not every trans dude is wearing a binder 24/7 and some dont ever"

society, discrimination, minorities, socialization, mental health

"wow living as a person with a yellow head sure is cool

kill yourself' you're yellow
since i am human, my mental state worsens due to abuse

5 months later
see, this study says that people with yellow heads are more likely to be depressed. that means its inherent to them being yellow. we should bleach their heads even if it meant death for them

i've never seen a person with a yellow head so i will agree"

mental illness, society, socialization, discrimination, neurodivergendy, schizophrenia

"dont armchair diagnose mass shooters and other killers. the misconception that all violent people must be mentally ill (and the following conclusion that all mentally ill people must be dangerous) has horrible real life consequences for visibly mentally ill people
[...]
please consider the real life consequences of reinforcing the association between mental illness and violence"

invisible problems

"so grief is like this

there is a box with a ball in it, and a pain button

in the beggining, the ball is huge. you cant move the box without the ball hitting the pain button. it rattles around on its own and in there and hits the button over and over. you cant control it - it just keeps hurting. sometimes it seems unrelenting

over time, the ball gets smaller. it hits the button less and less but when it does, it hurts just as much. its better because you can function day to day more easily. but the downside is that the ball randomly hits that button when you least expect it

for most people, the ball never really goes away. it might hit less and less and you have more time to recover between hits, unlike when the ball was still giant"
