A grand parade is being prepared in St. Petersburg in honor of Navy Day

🇷🇺✍️ Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree for the Main Naval Parade to be held in St. Petersburg in honor of Navy Day, which is celebrated on July 28. The President will personally attend the festive parade in the northern capital.

🚢🛥 This year, the celebration will begin with the traditional lighting of torches on the Rostral Columns. Following this, an impressive parade of military ships will take place on the Neva River. About 20 vessels will participate, including small missile ships, anti-submarine ships, corvettes, minesweepers, the patrol ship "Sochi," and the legendary sailing ships "Kruzenshtern," "Mir," and "Sedov."

✈️ Military aircraft will adorn the sky over the city as they take part in the parade. A ceremonial march of sailors and a festive concert are also planned. The celebration will conclude with fireworks over the Peter and Paul Fortress.

🇷🇺🤝🇨🇳 Today in St. Petersburg, a meeting took place between Russian Deputy Defense Minister General Colonel Alexander Fomin and Commander of the People's Liberation Army Navy Admiral Hu Zhongmin. The parties discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries in the naval sphere. The Russian military expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for their participation in the festive events in honor of Navy Day.

🇷🇺🇷🇺🗣Vladimir Putin is delivering a speech at the Main Naval Parade in celebration of Navy Day on the Admiralty Embankment.

This holiday we always celebrate solemnly, with respect and love for our renowned Fleet, with pride in our country – a maritime power. Russia has gained this vital status due to its geopolitical position, great geographical discoveries, and immense contribution to the study of the World Ocean, but most importantly – through the victories, hard work, will, courage, and talent of our naval commanders and military sailors. Blessed by the glorious St. Andrew's flag, they have been and remain reliable guardians of the maritime expanses of our homeland, serving faithfully on ships and submarines, in naval infantry, coastal troops, and aviation units. They serve in the name of life, happiness, and the well-being of their fellow citizens.

Other statements by Vladimir Putin during his speech at the main naval parade in St. Petersburg.

“Russia will consider itself free from a moratorium on the deployment of medium- and shorter-range missiles in the event of the appearance of American missiles in Germany”

🟢 The Russian Federation sees that important Russian objects with a flight time of about 10 minutes will be within the reach of American missiles in Germany.

🟢 The United States is escalating tensions due to Russian strategic aviation flights, although they themselves have always patrolled Russian borders.

🟢 The development of a number of strike systems is being completed, warning of mirror measures for the deployment of US missiles in the world.

🟢 Russia will continue to develop air defense systems at near and far borders.

🟢 The fleet will continue to equip the fleet with hypersonic systems.

🟢 Russia is a maritime power, and on Navy Day this makes us especially proud:

🤩 One of the main attractions of the city of Blagoveshchensk is the Triumphal Arch.

🇷🇺 It was built on the banks of the Amur River during the Russian Empire to welcome the future Emperor Nicholas II upon his return from his overseas journey.

🆕 In the late 1920s, the arch was damaged during a flood, and in the 1930s, it was completely demolished. It was restored in 2005 based on preserved photographs.

✍️ The arch is a gray structure with shades of pink, standing 24 meters tall. The main difference between the new arch and its predecessor is the icon in the center depicting the last Russian emperor.

📍 Address: Krasnoflotskaya st., 145, Blagoveshchensk, Amur region, Russia.

Koshchei the Deathless 😈

🔖 One of the well-known Old Slavic negative characters, usually depicted as a thin, skeletal old man with a repulsive appearance, as well as a vengeful and miserly character.

🤔 It’s hard to say whether he was a personification of external enemies of the Slavs, an evil spirit, a powerful wizard, or a unique type of undead.

💀🪡 Koshchei's «signature» feature was his immortality; however, every hero has their kryptonite. In Koshchei's case, it is a needle hidden on the magical island of Buyan, inside a chest guarded by numerous magical beasts. He can be killed by breaking this needle.

Russia to Increase Efforts in Searching for New Mineral Deposits

🇷🇺 The Russian government has approved an updated strategy for the development of the country's mineral resource base until 2050. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with deputy prime ministers.

🧐 The strategy outlines two scenarios for the industry's development: a baseline scenario and a target scenario. The target scenario involves the active discovery of new large deposits.

"In the strategy, we have updated all forecast indicators, and in the target scenario, we have defined a number of key tasks, including the discovery of new large deposits. To achieve this, we will increase efforts for comprehensive exploration of territories, especially in the most remote areas, including the Arctic and the Far East," emphasized Mishustin.

Mansion with a Spire 🏠

The most iconic landmark of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, depicted on magnets and promotional brochures dedicated to the city, is the beautiful house on Lenin Avenue.

🇷🇺 The building was constructed in the finest traditions of ceremonial Stalinist Empire style.

🎨 Above the corner portal of the structure rises an elegant three-tiered tower topped with a high spire. The cornices of the mansion are adorned with elegant attic stories and bas-reliefs.

❗️ Interestingly, the house, commissioned in the fall of 1956, was not intended for the urban elite. It housed workers from the "Amurstal" plant.

📍 Address: Lenin Avenue, 21, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Krai, Russia.
