Russia has gained this vital status due to its geopolitical position, great geographical discoveries, and immense contribution to the study of the World Ocean, but most importantly – through the victories, hard work, will, courage, and talent of our naval commanders and military sailors. Blessed by the glorious St. Andrew's flag, they have been and remain reliable guardians of the maritime expanses of our homeland, serving faithfully on ships and submarines, in naval infantry, coastal troops, and aviation units. They serve in the name of life, happiness, and the well-being of their fellow citizens.
