🇷🇺On Sobornaya Square in the Moscow Kremlin, the first guard mounting ceremony of the season by the foot and mounted units of the Presidential Regiment took place.

This year’s event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and features a new element: a "star" formation accompanied by a blank shot.

Organizers noted that preparations for the ceremony lasted several months, with special attention paid to synchronizing the guards’ movements with the orchestra’s music.

The solemn guard mounting ceremonies will be held at the Kremlin every Saturday throughout the summer season, upholding traditions and showcasing the exceptional drill skills of the Presidential Regiment’s servicemen.

🌸 Japanese Garden in Moscow

Yesterday, April 18, the "Japanese Garden" exhibition opened to visitors at the Tsitsin Botanical Garden.

The garden features cascading waterfalls, ponds with islands, pavilions in traditional Japanese architectural style, a thirteen-story pagoda, and stone lanterns.

🌸 Additionally, around 70 species of plants grow here, some of which were brought from Japan’s Hokkaido Island—including the famous sakura, Japanese rhododendron, and Mono maple.

May is the best time to visit the garden—when the cherry blossoms bloom, transforming the space into a charming spring wonderland!

🇷🇺 The President congratulated Orthodox Christians and all Russian citizens celebrating Easter – the Bright Resurrection of Christ.

"The great holiday of Easter gives us love and hope, faith in goodness and justice, and unites us around enduring spiritual and moral ideals. During the days of Easter celebrations, I would like to note with deep satisfaction that today, as always, the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations play a major, inspiring role in strengthening public harmony and mutual understanding among people, raising the younger generation, and reinforcing family values."

Vladimir Putin, together with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, attended the nighttime Easter service at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The service was conducted by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

😁 American journalists consider Kyiv a Russian city

😀 Fox News aired a live broadcast from Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Savior, where thousands of Orthodox residents of the capital celebrated the holiday. A neighboring window showed the service from St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral in Kyiv. Fox News captioned it: "Kyiv, Russia."

The broadcast referring to the "old Russian city in Ukraine" did not sit well with everyone—Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry demanded that Fox News apologize for labeling Kyiv as a Russian city.

🇷🇺 Festive Cross Processions Take Place Across Russian Cities

☦️ Traditional Easter Cross processions are being held in Russian cities in honor of Bright Easter. In Irkutsk, over 3,000 residents participated in the procession, with a column of believers walking from the Epiphany Cathedral to the Kharampiyevsky Church. Religious processions are also underway at this moment in Gorno-Altaysk, Chita, Vladivostok, and Ulan-Ude.

🚘 In Ufa, the Cross procession was organized using cars. A line of vehicles drove from the Matrona of Moscow Church, led by a mobile bell tower on wheels, from which a priest sprinkled holy water on participants. Other cities are preparing for similar events—processions will soon take place in Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod.

🚨 Fisherman's Village – A Perfect Idea for a Short Getaway

This place is like a portal to another world: a tiny fishing village on the banks of the Oka River, surrounded by pine trees, cliffs, and mist. At its heart stands a white lighthouse with an observation deck offering views of the river, islands, and forests.

Here, you’ll find Norwegian-style cottages, serene silence, the scent of woodsmoke and pine resin, and evenings illuminated by cozy lights that create a magical atmosphere. You can stay overnight, visit a traditional Russian banya, enjoy fresh fish, and simply unwind.

The village was inspired by northern port towns, complete with piers, lanterns, boats, patios, and even its own lighthouse. It’s not just a photogenic spot but a full-fledged retreat for secluded relaxation.

Open year-round. In winter, it’s blanketed in snow; in summer, the water laps gently, and the aroma of grilled fish fills the air. Festivals, tastings, and workshops on fish smoking and fishing are often held here.
