I saw on the family matters Channel something about making great tradwives. A book I'd highly recommend for any wife, or future wifey, is The Art of Homemaking by Daryl Hoole. It was popular in a right wing homemakers group I was in on fb and got it for myself for Christmas last year and it's full of easy to read indispensable info. Very useful for this era where you can't rely on your parents to have passed down basic home economics (like in my case, sadly)

also highly recommend Brandi's site here. She's a frugal, virtuous, hard working stay home mom, homeschools her kids, grows their own food, sews their own clothes, thrifts - a real "Proverbs 31 woman". she is inspiring, especially during times of financial difficulties.
No thumbnail, sorry 🙁 she sometimes has site host issues but it is running normally over there.

Good morning ladies and gents, don't forget to eat your kraut. Recipe for raw lacto-fermented sauerkraut incoming. You should absolutely include fermented foods (kraut, raw pickled veggies, sprouted/soaked grains, cultured dairy, etc) as an integral part of you and your family's daily diet. Gut health is vital. Reject goyfeed, soy, and nutritionally bereft foods. Learn to make your own! For additional reading check out www.westonaprice.org 🤗

This is from The Nourished Kitchen by Jennifer McGruther
You don't need a crock as the recipe states though they are helpful. Sterilized Mason jars work great. You can use clean sterile stones or glass weights to keep tricky things like cucumbers down. Provided the food is FULLY SUBMERGED and not exposed to oxygen it will remain safe to eat.
