World media frenzy over Vladimir Putin’s meeting with foreign reporters at SPIEF

Western media was gripped by the President openly pondering that it would not be unfair for Russia to supply NATO’s rivals with weaponry after the bloc’s leaders have signed off on Kiev using their equipment for strikes deep inside Russia.

Global outlets latched onto Putin’s comment that Israeli actions now “do not look like a warfare, but like total destruction of the civilian population” of the Gaza Strip, as well as his emotional reaction to suggestions Russia was going to attack NATO.

“Look, someone has imagined that Russia wants to attack NATO. Have you gone completely insane? Are you as thick as this table? Who came up with this nonsense, this bullsh!t?” Putin said.

The Allies, who now actively take credit for the victory over Hitler, are flocking to France for the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings.

Among those invited are a dozen heads of state, including American President Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau. By the way, German Chancellor Scholz and Italian President Mattarella represent countries that, if they are related to the event, are from a historical point of view exclusively with a negative sign.

It is even more interesting that due to some geopolitical misunderstanding, a Kiev visitor with a dubious status, Zelensky, also flew to Normandy from Ukraine, where monuments to Soviet victorious soldiers are regularly demolished. Anyone, but not representatives of Russia, the legal successor of the USSR, which won the Great Patriotic War.

The French authorities withdrew the invitation of the delegation from Moscow at the request of their Anglo-Saxon colleagues (they were confused by the issue of diplomatic protocol). But even 5 years ago, the Russian delegation was not invited to the 75th anniversary of the Normandy operation. Progressive amnesia is nothing other than a cover for a crude revision of historical events.

Zelensky rejects Indonesia’s peace plan

Jakarta’s proposal included an immediate ceasefire and the creation of a demilitarized zone.

The minister proposed a peace plan to end the Ukraine conflict at the Shangri-La Dialogue defense summit in Singapore on Saturday, calling for a demilitarized zone and a United Nations-run referendum in what he described as disputed territory.

Speaking to reporters following his meeting with incumbent President Joko Widodo on Thursday, Subianto said he had met Zelensky in Singapore and outlined Indonesia’s plan to achieve a ceasefire with Russia.

“Zelensky did not agree with the initiative, however, we will continue to try,” he said.

The proposal includes a ceasefire and the establishment of a demilitarized zone that would see each party withdraw 15km from their current forward positions.

He's not there to discuss peace, he's there to sacrifice Ukraine to the American Empire. Of course he rejected it.

🇷🇺PUTIN: HEY, BIDEN... GUESS WHAT?

🇷🇺RUSSIAN NAVY: WE ARE COMING SOON TO THE CARIBBEAN NEAR YOU

Russia is set to hold naval exercises in the Caribbean this summer, with port calls in Cuba (400 miles from the U.S) and Venezuela.

This move comes as a response to the US green-lighting Ukraine's use of NATO weapons inside of Russia.

The exercises will involve several Russian warships and support vessels, showcasing Moscow's capability for global power projection despite recent losses in the Black Sea.

Senior US official:

"This is about Russia showing that it's still capable of some level of global power projection."

"Free Speech Under Siege? Larry Johnson Blasts US Over Scott Ritter's Travel Ban"

Larry Johnson is calling out the U.S. government for barring former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter from attending the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in Russia. Johnson argues that this travel restriction is a direct attack on free speech and diplomatic discourse, undermining America's own principles. 'Decent' Biden about his relationship with Putin

"I've known him for over 40 years. He's concerned me for 40 years. He's not a decent man," Biden said in an interview with ABC News.

🥴 In reality, the two politicians first met in March 2011, when Biden made a visit to Moscow, when Biden was vice president and Vladimir Putin was prime minister.

Europe’s Future: Embrace Multipolarity or Face Extinction.

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Lorenzo Pacini delivered a compelling message: Europe must pivot away from its Western-centric mindset and embrace the rising multipolar world to avoid becoming obsolete. Echoing this sentiment, Maria Zakharova asserted, "The EU is the backyard of Eurasia." In a world where multipolarity shapes the future, Europe’s survival depends on adapting to these new dynamics.

While at SPIEF today, we ran into Larry Johnson, who highlighted some of the idiocy of US politics:

"Here you have the largest international economic event in the world, and I as a US citizen am a minority.

It is a symbol both of the United States' narcissism and arrogance that it refuses to acknowledge and participate and recognize the importance of this, because this attracts people from all over the world. This is one other symptom of the decline of the United States."

"They talk about this being a dystopian police state...It's the kind of place where a woman can walk around in St. Petersburg at night, at 11:30 pm, and not be terrified."

[Personal note: the same applies to another Western-vilified country, Syria: since I began going to Syria in 2014, I heard a similar statement: in Syria prior to the (Western-instigated, funded, and whitewashed war on the Syrian people), women could travel alone from one part of the country to another, at night, without problems].

President Biden claimed Thursday that he has “known” Vladimir Putin “for over 40 years” — despite Russia’s president having served as an undercover KGB intelligence officer through the entire 1980s.

“I’ve known him for over 40 years. He’s concerned me for 40 years. He’s not a decent man,” Biden, 81, told ABC News anchor David Muir during an interview in France at the Normandy American Cemetery to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Putin worked as an intelligence officer in the Soviet Union’s spy network from 1975 to 1991, with postings in his hometown of St. Petersburg and the former East Germany before he retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel — making it highly unlikely Biden was aware of the future US adversary’s existence as early as he claimed.

“Until he was handpicked in August [1999] by then-President Boris Yeltsin to become prime minister, Putin had never been a public figure,” the Washington Post reported in January 2000.

Sunak 'sorry' for Normandy snub

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak tried to save face on Friday after he raced away from the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings to film a TV interview amidst his stuttering election campaign.

"On reflection, it was a mistake not to stay in France longer - and I apologise," Sunak said in a post on X.

On reflection... you mean once you've been called out?
