IT IS SUNNAH TO GIVE THE CHILD A NICKNAME
Among the educational principles laid down by Islam concerning raising a child is to give him a nickname composed of Abu (father of) and another part. This yields some educational gains such as:
- Inculcating a sense of dignity and respect into the child's soul.
- Developing his social character and making him feel that he has grown up.
- Giving him amiable treatment and pleasing him through calling him by this lovely nickname.
For these benefits and considerations, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to nickname children and call them by these names. It is related in Sahihayn that Anas (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) was the best of all people in morals. I had a brother called Abū Umayr, who I think, had been newly weaned. Whenever the child was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ), he used to say to him, "O Abu Umayr! what did An- Nughayr (i.e. nightingale or bird) do?"

Getting One Parent Angry to Make the Other One Happy
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān
Categorized under: The Rights of Parents
Question to Shaikh Ṣāliḥ Al-Fawzān, may Allāh protect him:
My father asked me to do something that would anger my mother; what’s the ruling on getting one parent angry in order to make the other one happy?
Answer:
This isn’t allowed:
فَلَا تَقُلْ لَهُمَا أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُلْ لَهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا
Let not be uttered by you to [your parents even the slightest expression of distaste like] “uff,” nor let any distasteful action ever come towards them from you, but rather be kind and gentle to them in speech [and action]. (Al-Isrāʾ, 23)
This is what Allāh, far above is He in His perfection, directed towards one’s parents, so it’s not allowed for you to anger—to anger both of them or to anger either of them. And if it were to ever be ordained that something happen from you that gets them angry, then you [must] ask them for forgiveness and be quick about that.
Al-Ijābāt Al-Mukhtaṣarah, Al-Ḥalqah 380.

What is a Qareen?
A Qareen is a shaytan jinn that is born from a female and a male shaytans at the same time we are born.
It stays with us from birth until we die.
It does not die with us.
It is main purpose is to convince us to become kufar.
Otherwise whisper to make us commit sin or do less good deeds.
It whispers, it is up to us to obey or not. We are fully accountable.
We have another Qareen but is an Angel. It tells us to do good.
But in this post I am referring to the shaytan Qareen.
In total each one of us has 13 Angels that stay with us at all times except in the toilet.
One Qareen Angel to tell us to do good.
One on the left to write our sins. Supervised by one on the right to write our good deeds.
And then 10 protecting Angels حفظة, as mentioned by ALLAH in the Quraan, to protect us at all times except when the decree and Qadr of ALLAH does not allow them as we are destined to be harmed.
One of them stays next to our lips while we sleep to not allow anyone to put poison inside our mouth while we sleep.
But remember this post is about the shaytan Qareen.
Jazakum ALLAH khayr.
No one can give victory by force except ALLAH.
I ask ALLAH ALMOUTAAL ALHAY ALQAYOOM to protect us and save us.

Relationship With Parents
(1) Never be disrespectful to parents. Do not say a harsh word to them.
(2) Even if parents are unjust, it is not lawful for children to ill-treat, disobey or displease them.
(3) Obey them in all lawful things. If they instruct you to do anything which is unlawful in the Shari’ah, then politely and with respect and apology decline. Never refuse rudely nor argue with Them.
(4) When parents abuse, scold or even beat their children, they should submit to such treatment with humility. Never should they utter a word of disrespect or complaint, nor should they display on their faces any indication of disgust or anger. Bear their treatment in silence and with patience. Make dua for them.
(5) Assist them in all lawful ways even if they happen to be non-Muslims.

Mother:
I fought with death when I was giving you birth. I spent sleepless nights when you were sick and crying during late nights. I never took meals without feeding you. I bore so many pains to bring you to this stage that you are in today. How will you pay me back my son?
Son:
When I grow up, I will find a good job and get money for you so you can enjoy the pleasures of this world.
Mother:
Your father is doing this already and I do not expect this from you too.
Son:
I will find a pious lady and marry her so she can take care of you while I am away from home.
Mother:
It is not compulsory on her to do any service to me, neither do I expect this from her.
Son:
Tell me mother how can I repay you back?
Mother:
(With tears in her eyes) When I die give me your shoulder and bury me. Whenever you perform prayers, supplicate for me. Remember your good deeds will benefit me in the hereafter life. Will you do it my son?
Son:
He got tears in his eyes already.
What about you?
A mother is the Superior soul in One's life... A mother is one of the strongest doors of Paradise, if you wish you may pull it down, or if you wish you may protect it. May Allah bless our mother and give hidayah in our hearts to Obey her and love her to the core and protect her
Aameen ya rabul alameen

Parents should never insult their children due to any "failure". Children are sensitive to the words and actions of their parents, constant criticism and derogatory remarks lead to a negative self-image for children...

A man who experienced childhood trauma may unintentionally direct those unresolved emotions and experiences towards his wife, unless he heals from that trauma...

The 5th Standard student in Saudi Arabia was asked to write something about their mother in a paper. The student answered:
"My mother died, and with her, (death) everything else died."💔

I have grieved for sooo long for this 'ideal childhood' I held soo much anger nd resentment for my parents.
I could not let go of the pain and suffering they caused me .
Although I understand Allah gave me my parents but I could not accept my life nd how it was back then because I kept thinking I could have done better or changed or maybe it was my fault.
Yes our parents need to take accountability nd responsibility but do you really want to punish them or continue punishing yourself for whst could or could not be?
Coming to terms with your past nd remembering that Allah decreed everything is actually very comforting because it stops you from comparing nd romanticising .
You could get all the love in the world nd still be a menace in the world!
If Allah thought every home had to be born with ideal perfect parents then He would have given that.
Your trials and tribulations made you who are today.
This is why you value what you have today!

A person came to Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and asked, "Who among people is most deserving of my fine treatment?" He (ﷺ) said, "Your mother". He again asked, ''Who next?" "Your mother", the Prophet (ﷺ) replied again. He asked, "Who next?" He (the Prophet (ﷺ)) said again, "Your mother." He again asked, "Then who?" Thereupon he (ﷺ) said," Then your father."
In another narration: "O Messenger of Allah! Who is most deserving of my fine treatment?" He (ﷺ) said, "Your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father, then your nearest, then nearest".
