Palestinians Hold Funeral For 14-Year-Old American Citizen Killed By Israeli Forces In West Bank

Two other boys, including another American citzen, were shot and wounded by the Israeli military

On Monday, Palestinians in the West Bank village of Turmus Ayya held a funeral for Omar Mohammad Rabee , a 14-year-old American citizen who was killed by Israeli fire a day earlier.

Lafi Shalabi, the mayor of Turmus Ayya, said Rabee was shot alongside two other boys, including Ayoub Jabara, a 15-year-old who also has American citizenship and is in intensive care. The third boy, 15-year-old Abdulrahman Shihada, was also hospitalized.

According to The Washington Post , Shalabi said the boys were shot by Israeli troops while picking green almonds near a highway.

The Israeli military hasn’t confirmed that it killed an American citizen but claimed it fired on three “terrorists” in the area who were throwing rocks at cars and killed one. Earlier this year, Israeli media reported that the IDF expanded its “open-fire orders” in the West Bank, leading to an uptick in the killing of children in the occupied Palestinian territory.

The US State Department confirmed in a statement to Antiwar.com that an American citizen was killed in the West Bank but didn’t offer much comment besides mentioning the Israeli military’s side of the story. “We offer our sincerest condolences to the family on their loss,” a State Department spokesperson said.

Trump And Netanyahu Reaffirm Their Vision For The Ethnic Cleansing Of Gaza

Trump called Gaza an 'incredible piece of real estate' and suggested the US could be a 'peace force' there

President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met at the White House on Monday and reaffirmed their desire for the ethnic cleansing of Gaza, both claiming that there are other countries willing to take in the Palestinian population.

Trump also said it would be a “good thing” for the US to take over and control Gaza. “Well, you know how I feel about the Gaza Strip. I think it’s an incredible piece of important real estate,” he told reporters at the Oval Office. “I think it’s something we would be involved in, you know, having a peace force like the United States there, controlling and owning the Gaza Strip, would be a good thing.”

The president said that if the Palestinians are “moved around to different countries,” it would create a “freedom zone” in Gaza. “You call it the freedom zone, a free zone, a zone where people aren’t going to be killed every day,” he said.

Netanyahu framed the idea of expelling Palestinians from Gaza as voluntary. “We’re committed to getting all the hostages out, but also eliminating the evil tyranny of Hamas in Gaza and enabling the people of Gaza to freely make a choice to go wherever they want,” he said.

Netanyahu said that he and President Trump discussed countries that are willing to take in Palestinians from Gaza, but he didn’t mention any by name. “I think this is the right thing to do. It’s going to take years to rebuild Gaza; in the meantime, people can have an option. The president has a vision. Countries are responding to that vision, and we’re working on it,” he said.

Israeli Troops Detain Civilians, Blocks Roads As They Move Deeper Into Syria

IDF reports ‘defensive operations’ against Syrian infrastructure

Israeli troops continue to move deeper into Syria, raising consternation among the locals as they detain civilians on suspicion of “terrorism” and set up roadblocks to prevent villagers from accessing their lands inside the newly occupied “buffer zone.”

That “buffer zone” is getting bigger and bigger, crossing beyond the demilitarized zone between Syria and the occupied Golan Heights, and as a result is also shrinking the amount of land local residents are allowed to access...

The Israeli Army is now offering hiking tours of some of the newly-occupied part of Syria, calling them “Friends of Excursions” trips where Israeli forces will escort Israeli hikers into the closest 2.5 kilometers of Syria.

White House Says Hamas ‘Entirely Responsible’ For Israeli Execution Of Palestinian Medics

The US is still backing Israel over the executions even after a video showed the IDF was lying about the incident

The Trump administration has doubled down on its position that Hamas is to blame for Israeli troops executing 15 Palestinian medical workers in Gaza, even after a video showed that the Israeli military was lying about the incident.

The IDF initially claimed its forces opened fire on vehicles that were advancing “suspiciously” and had no headlights or flashing emergency lights . But a video recorded by one of the executed paramedic’s phone showed the ambulances they were driving had emergency lights on when the IDF opened fire.

“Forgive me, mother. This is the path I chose. To help people,” said Palestinian medic Refaat Radwan moments before he was killed.

The Israeli soldiers tried to cover up the crime by burying the 15 medics and their ambulances in a shallow grave. The IDF has since changed its story , acknowledging the lights were flashing and that they opened fire on unarmed men but claiming six of them were linked to Hamas while offering no evidence.

Despite the clear evidence of a war crime, the US is still backing the IDF’s conduct. “Hamas uses ambulances and more broadly human shields for terrorism,” White House National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes told Reuters . “President Trump understands the impossible situation this tactic creates for Israel and holds Hamas entirely responsible.”
