Prophet ﷺ said,

“A time will soon come when the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take on the top of mountains and the places of rainfall so as to flee with his religion from afflictions."

[Bukhari 19]

O YOU WHOSE EYES IN THIS life are tearless, tomorrow on the Day of Judgment the sun will be brought close to your head upon which the mouths of your veins will open so that each hair in your body will cry on its own. The sky will look like as if violently dusting off its sleeves because of the maelstrom of cataclysms, the stars shall be scattered apart, and then the horror of The Day arrives to rip apart the fabric of the universe.

Book: Seeds of Admonishment And Reform By al-Hāfiz Abū'l-Faraj ibn al-Jawzī | Dār as-Sunnah Publishers | P. 175
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم told us that a time would come when fornication would be widespread. We are living in those times. There are plenty of opportunities to fornicate, and plenty of venereal disease and babies out of wedlock to prove it. Unfortunately, even amongst the Muslims. Which is why people who want to protect their chastity should get married.

Unfortunately, marriage in this new Muslim age is becoming obsolete. For some it has become a game, a quick come-up, or a quick way to have sex. Some marriages only last a a few weeks, or a couple of days. You don't even need to fully identify yourself in some marriages. Just give a Muslim sounding name, and wear Muslim looking clothing, and get yourself a temporary marriage. Wink wink.

In an age where nearly many Muslims in our community has a dual identity; even multiple identities, people are terrified of marriage. This is what it's come to.

“A group of my Ummah will not cease to fight at the gates of Damascus and at the gates of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and its surroundings.

The betrayal or desertion of whoever deserts them will not harm them in the least. They will remain victorious, standing for the truth, until the Final Hour rises”.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (ra):
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“The Hour will not be established until two great groups fight each other, and both sides will claim the same cause. And until about thirty liars appear—each of them claiming that he is a messenger of Allah. And until knowledge is taken away, earthquakes increase in number, time becomes shortened, tribulations become widespread, and harj becomes frequent.” He was asked, “What is harj?” He replied, “Killing.”

“And the Hour will not be established until wealth becomes abundant among you—so abundant that the owner of wealth will be worried about finding someone to accept his charity. A man will be offered charity and he will say: ‘I have no need for it.’

“And until people compete with one another in constructing tall buildings. And until a man passes by another’s grave and says: ‘Would that I were in his place!’

“And until the sun rises from the west. When it rises from the west and people see it, everyone will believe. But on that day, no faith will benefit a soul that had not believed before, nor earned any good through its faith—(as mentioned in Surah Al-An'am 6:158).

“And the Hour will be established while two men are spreading out a garment between them, but they will not be able to finish their transaction nor fold it up.

“And the Hour will be established while a man has milked his she-camel, but he will not be able to drink it.

“And the Hour will be established while a man is repairing his water basin, but he will not be able to give water from it.

“And the Hour will be established while a man raises a morsel to his mouth, but he will not be able to eat it.””

(References: Sahih Muslim 1/72, Hadith 157; Musnad Ahmad 7164)
This hadith explains that Dajjāl will be given extraordinary abilities as a test, not because he has real divine power. Allah will allow him to:
• Make it rain when he commands
• Make the earth produce crops
• Make wealth follow him
• Perform acts that look miraculous

These signs will deceive people who have weak faith.
Believers will know that these are trials, not signs of godhood, and that only Allah has true power.
Anas bin Malik (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

"Before the Hour there shall be Fitan like a portion of the dark night. Morning will come upon a man as a believer, who will be a disbeliever in the evening, and evening will come upon a believer, who will be a disbeliever in the morning, people will sell their religion for goods of the world."

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2197, Book 33, Hadith 40)

This ḥadīth shows that a large group from Isfahan will support Dajjāl when he appears.

This Hadith informs Muslims that Jesus (peace be upon him) will later descend and defeat the greatest trial of humanity, the Dajjāl. His killing at the Gate of Ludd is a clear sign that falsehood will be destroyed and truth will finally prevail. It also shows that Allah will end the fitnah of Dajjāl through Jesus (peace be upon him) as a mercy and victory for the believers.

Then wait for the Hour.

This Was In His Time How About Our Times

Ibn Hajr Al-Asqalaani [D. 852 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said:

❝Indeed, we find the quickness of passing of days in our time which we did not find in the times before our times, and the truth is that the meaning is the wrenching away of blessings from everything even the blessings of time and that is from the signs of the approach of the final hour.❞

[Fath Al-Bari, (13/19) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath Al-Anbiyya]
Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The Hour will not begin until Jesus the son of Mary comes down as a just judge and a just ruler. He will break the cross, kill the swine and abolish the Jizyah and wealth will become so abundant that no one will accept it.” (Ibn Majah 4078)

This hadith warns that one of the signs of the Hour is the loss of trust in society. Trust is lost when positions of authority and responsibility are given to people who are unqualified, dishonest, or undeserving. When leadership is based on favoritism, corruption, or personal gain rather than merit and integrity, social order collapses. The Prophet ﷺ highlighted this as a serious moral decline and a clear sign of the approach of the Hour.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said,

"The Hour will not be established till a man passes by a grave of somebody and says, 'Would that I were in his place.' "

Sahih al-Bukhari, 7115

There are several authentic aḥādīth where the Prophet ﷺ spoke explicitly about time passing quickly as one of the signs before the Hour. Here are the main ones, with sources and wording
1. Time will pass rapidly (very explicit)
Arabic:
لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَتَقَارَبَ الزَّمَانُ
Translation:
“The Hour will not be established until time draws close (passes quickly).”
Source:
📘 Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī (Hadith 1036, also 7121)
📘 Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim
Explanation (from the scholars):
Taqārub az-zamān means time feels shorter, days and years pass without barakah.
Ibn Ḥajar said this includes:
Loss of blessings in time
Days feeling shorter due to distractions and fitan
Rapid pace of life
2. A year will feel like a month
Translation:
“Time will pass quickly: a year will be like a month, a month like a week, a week like a day, a day like an hour, and an hour like the burning of a palm leaf.”
Source:
📘 Musnad Aḥmad (Hadith 10560)
📘 Graded Ḥasan by several scholars (including al-Albānī)
3. Knowledge removed & time compressed
Translation:
“From the signs of the Hour are: knowledge will be taken away, ignorance will appear, wine will be consumed, adultery will become widespread, and time will pass quickly.”
Source:
📘 Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī & Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim
Key scholarly takeaway
This is not only literal time, but loss of barakah in time.
People are busier, more distracted, yet accomplish less spiritually.
The righteous of the past achieved immense good in short lives because of barakah.

This authentic hadith foretells a future sign of the Last Day, when the Euphrates will uncover an immense treasure described as a mountain of gold, leading people to fight over it with such extreme violence that out of every hundred, ninety-nine will be killed, as mentioned in other narrations. The Prophet (peace be upon him) warned believers not to take anything from it, teaching detachment from worldly greed, avoidance of fitnah (trials and chaos), and the importance of prioritizing faith and personal safety over wealth, reminding us that not every gain is a blessing and that some riches bring destruction, while true success lies in obedience to Allah and restraint during times of great trials.

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There will be no town which Ad-Dajjal will not enter except Mecca and Medina, and there will be no entrance (road) (of both Mecca and Medina) but the angels will be standing in rows guarding it against him, and then Medina will shake with its inhabitants thrice (i.e. three earthquakes will take place) and Allah will expel all the non-believers and the hypocrites from it."
