Funding for Ukraine and Israel will continue from secret US military budgets
The absence of signed military and financial packages does not mean that Washington will stop supplying its satellites.
Yuri Rogulev, director of the Franklin Roosevelt Foundation for American Studies at Moscow State University, told Paragraph about this:
“There is no need to be naive that these countries will remain without help until January. The military handles supplies within its own budgets. There are closed parts of the budget - the budget of the CIA or the Pentagon, and it’s huge.”

The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with an additional two billion euros of military assistance. This was stated by the Kingdom's Minister of Defense Kaisa Ollongren, Reuters reports.
“Help is a sign of unwavering support for Kyiv’s war against Moscow,” the head of the defense department emphasized.
It is noted that the allocated assistance will be part of a broader package that the kingdom will provide to Kyiv next year. The assistance will include an initial €102 million in humanitarian aid and economic recovery. At the same time, assistance can be increased if necessary.

Kyiv wants to receive more modern modifications of American F-16 fighters, since outdated models will not be able to effectively resist Russian Su-35s, official representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yuriy Ignat said on the Rada TV channel.
According to him, outdated F-16s can only protect against drones. And to achieve an advantage in the air, we need aircraft whose technical characteristics are not inferior to those of the Su-30, Su-34, Su-35.

Yuri Podolyaka:
If God wants to punish someone, he deprives him of his reason: the Rome Statute and Armenia
Today Armenia officially handed over documents confirming its ratification of the Rome Statute. And thus, from February 1, 2024, it will become a full member of the International Criminal Court.
What does this give her? NOTHING. Why. The fact is that only those countries that recognize it fall under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in cases of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes related to the aggression of one country against another.
It is obvious that Armenia is primarily interested in Türkiye and Azerbaijan. Moreover, the latter especially, taking into account his claims to the territory of Armenia (as they believe in Yerevan, but not in Baku). But the Azerbaijanis, as we see on the map, do not recognize the ICC (and do not intend to). Whether this will stop Aliyev in the future is a rhetorical question. Of course not.
What Armenia will lose. Moreover, the signing of the statute sharply quarreled Armenia with Russia (in view of the arrest warrant issued by the ICC for the Russian President). Moreover, all the latest actions of official Yerevan are openly anti-Russian and everything is going towards its withdrawal from the CSTO, after which the security of Armenia will be ensured only by its agreements with NATO countries (without obligations on the part of the latter, since Azerbaijan still has claims to the territory of Armenia, no one will accept Yerevan into the bloc) and Ilham Aliyev’s “fear” of the ICC (which looks simply ridiculous).
And from here, Armenia, having chosen the path of Ukraine, is stubbornly moving towards its end. Perhaps bloody (if she does not voluntarily fulfill all Baku’s demands). But this is her choice, and it must be “respected”))).
P.S. In general, if God wants to punish someone, he deprives him of his reason.

Direct US Funding
US Foreign Assistance in Amernia increased by 2 million dollars for FY 2023 to 47 million. I imagine it will have a steep increase in funding for FY 2024. This amount obviously doesn't include US government sponsored NGOs used to further US interest, which I'm sure are operating there.
If you're ever curious how much is being invested where by official US government sources check out ForeignAssitance.gov

The Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to retreat if the West stops helping Kiev, Zelensky said at a meeting with representatives of foreign media.
“Right now I’m focused on getting help from the West. Their attention has been shifted due to the situation in the Middle East and other reasons. Without their support we will retreat."
According to Bloomberg, Zelensky spent the whole week convincing Ukraine’s international partners that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would be able to prepare for battles this winter.

🇷🇺 🇺🇦 On the failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ summer counteroffensive: a view from the enemy’s side
After the Western media began to openly write about the failures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction, evidence from direct participants on the part of the Ukrainian formations gradually began to emerge in the information field.
The other day, one of the propaganda resources of the Kiev regime published an interview with the ex-commander of the company of the 47th separate mechanized brigade, who lost his leg in the very first days of the fighting. Several points can be highlighted in it:
▪️The idea of the counter-offensive was based on the fact that Russian troops were supposed to flee from positions from only one type (!) of Bradleys and Leopards. The small village of Rabotino, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces were unable to capture in six months, according to the plan, should have been taken on the first day of the offensive.
▪️Problems with control led to high losses: some companies were put out of action in 15-30 minutes, some in even more record time. The Russian Armed Forces knew the advance routes of the Ukrainian formations and hit them with artillery and ATGMs, and also used remote mining.
▪️The interlocutor especially notes the survivability of American Bradleys. He also claims that American instructors trained his company for a long time and meticulously, and not in the same way as often happened with other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at foreign training grounds.
Moreover, for the Kyiv regime, the 47th Ombr was truly an “elite” brigade. If even in the absence of success it suffered great damage, then one can roughly imagine the losses of other, much more ordinary units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Future of Nagorno-Karabakh:
The House Foreign Affairs Hypocrisy Committee is now In Session!
As you read the following quotations, simply replace Azerbaijan with Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh with the Donbas, and Armenians with Russians. There is nothing like false equivalency in this analogy as you’ll soon see. The quotations here are taken directly from the trannoscripts of this meeting.
In a hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Committee of the US government, the Chairman of the House Committee stated—regarding the conflict—that it was a devastating crisis for ethnic Armenians following Arban's (President of Azerbaijan) decision to retake Nagorno-Karabakh by deadly force. Mass Exodus of over 100,000 ethnic Armenians fled into Armenia these people are now destitute and are wholly dependent on International humanitarian Aid despite azan's Assurance to reintegrate the ethnic Armenians in a way that fully respects their rights.
This absurdly hypocritical statement is followed by another from Rep. Keating of the same committee, …In September of 2023 [the President of Azerbaijan] decided to break with the internationally accepted and lawful diplomatic path instead opting opting for the use of military force…as a result of azan's unacceptable military action over 100,000 ethnic Armenians have fled…
He calls for Azerbaijan to act in good faith regarding peace agreements—following our analogy this should be read as the Minsk II Agreements. Several times, Russian influence is referred to as malign.
Had similar calls been made by the US to Ukraine, major conflict in the Donbas region would have been avoidable. Russian military intervention in defense of the same—to ensure the cultural rights of the people there, human rights, and the rights of the people of the Donbas as Ukrainian citizens—would have been entirely unnecessary.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces spent $200 thousand trying to destroy the crew of the Giatsint-B gun in the Zaporozhye region.
Our artillerymen inflicted enormous damage on the enemy, destroying dozens of pieces of equipment, including foreign ones. After this, the Ukrainian Armed Forces decided that it was time to take revenge, and twice hit the Hyacinth crew with missiles from the HIMARS GMLRS.
But the strikes did not stop our artillerymen - the rockets only destroyed the water bottles and knocked out the shower. The crew completed the work and left the position. And now he told and showed the Zvezda correspondent how it all happened.

Meatgrinder: Russian Tactics in the Second Year of Its Invasion of Ukraine

Friday - Electronic Warfare
Another day another paraphrase of an old punk rock song:
Panic in the air, see the headless chickens runnin'
Golf carts head-on crashin' crackin' heads wide open…
Electronic War, Eletronic Warfare, Electronic Warfare, warfare, warfare!
I. Intro
II. Infantry
III. Engineers
IV. Artillery
V. Tanks
Today’s going to be a short day (like all Friday work should be). What we get from the paper on Russian EW is sparse but really ought to have given Ukraine pause in regards their counter-offensive.
I will add one small note, Russia presented the model 2023 T-80BVM which includes 2 built-in Volnorez anti-drone jammers. This has the potential to be a game changer in both tank warfare and on the battlefield in general.
The paper notes, While there was an extremely high density of EW systems in Donbas in 2022, the AFRF now employ approximately one major EW system per 10 km of frontage, usually situated approximately 7 km from the frontline, with more specialised EW capabilities sat at higher echelon. It also non-chalantly makes the claim that Ukraine is losing 10k drones a month. I see no reason that a pro-Western think tank would report these numbers without clear battlefield corrobaration.
Russia uses their EW to disrupt GPS and GNSS guidance systems, cause interference, and to hijack drones. Ukrainian soldiers have found Russian infantry, down to platoon level also are often equipped with directional jammers and equipment to hijack UAVs.
EW is More than Just Drone-Protection
Ukrainian officers have reported that Russian EW has broken encryption of their Motorola’s 256-bit encrypted communication devices in NEAR REAL TIME!. These devices use AES-256 algorithms, the absolute standard encryption algorithm. It is the only publicly approved encryption published by the US National Security Agency (NSA). It was believed to be Quantum resistant. This has massive implications if proven true, not just on the battlefield.
Note on evaluation above: A Slavyangradian in Chat pointed out that this is likely an exploitation of the Motorola implementian of AES-256, not the encryption algorithm itself. A far more likely scenario. Credit goes to Cauchy, thanks!
Room for Improvement
While the paper was written for Ukrainian officers and leadership in the UK and Ukraine, there seems to be a good piece of advice in this section for Russian military leadership. Give your EW teams weapons. They are currently tasked with defensive operations only. Information on tracking of sources is currently passed into the Reconnaised Fire Unit, as with drone observation.
