🔥LAFD Chief Crowley remains on duty amid wildfire crisis, mayor's office confirms Amid swirling rumors of a shake-up in Los Angeles’ firefighting leadership, the Mayor’s office has denied reports that LAFD Chief Kristin Crowley has been fired or resigned…
Los Angeles mayor FIRES city’s fire chief for lack of preparation – reports

Catastrophic wildfires began on January 7, killed 29 people, and torched more than 37,000 acres, destroying approximately 12,000 structures in Southern California last month, CNN reported.

💬 “We know that 1,000 firefighters who could have been on duty on the morning the fires broke out were instead sent home on Chief Crowley’s watch,” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said in a statement. “Furthermore, a necessary step for an investigation was the President of the Fire Commission telling Chief Crowley to conduct an after-action report on the fires. The Chief refused. These actions require her removal,” she added.

During the devastating fire crisis, Crowley blasted LA authorities for a “$17 million budget cut” to the city’s fire department and highlighted the need for 62 additional fire stations to adequately serve the community.

💬 “Bringing new leadership to the Fire Department is what our city needs,” the mayor declared, as quoted by The New York Times.

🗣 "See you in court," Mills told Trump.

💬 "I look forward to that, that should be a real easy one," Trump responded.

💬 “And enjoy your life after governor because I don't think you'll be in elected politics,” the president quipped.

Is Ursula the EU president? Von der Leyen’s power grab

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is using crises to expand her own control, stripping EU member states of power in key political and economic sectors.

Expanding Power

🔹 On taking office in 2019, von der Leyen declared a new era of "European confidence", saying the EU must "learn the language of power" and "develop its own muscles."

🔹 COVID-19 allowed her to centralize healthcare policy and vaccine buying, forcing EU countries to pay for contracts she negotiated — raising accusations of self-enrichment in the Pfizergate scandal.

🔹 The 2022 Ukraine conflict and energy crisis, worsened by anti-Russian sanctions, enabled her to seize control over the LNG trade, bringing energy policy under Brussels.

🔹 She also tried to turn the EU into a de-facto defense bloc, assuming new security powers. She pushed EDIRPA, a $324M EU arms-buying program on the pretext of the Russian threat: "Our strategy can only be complete if it takes into account Ukraine’s needs and industrial capacity," she claimed.

🔹 She used the EU’s dispute with Trump over Ukraine to push for higher defense spending: "We need a surge in EU defense spending," she tweeted, extending control over arms deals.

🔹 In 2024 she tightened access to the $1.25T EU budget, increasing her influence over funding for member states’ farming, housing and other sectors.

Silencing Dissent and Hiding Scandals

🔹 EU leaders have warned against her power grabs. Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán said last July: "She is paid by member states - she should follow their directives." Slovak PM Robert Fico slammed her high-handedness on Ukraine in December: "No EU official can speak on behalf of the entire bloc."

🔹 Retaliation is swift - UVDL blocked $23.5 billion in EU funds for Hungary over Budapest’s dissent.

🔹 In April 2024, German MEP Christine Anderson’s microphone was cut off mid-speech as she exposed von der Leyen’s Pfizer corruption.

🔹 To control the Commission’s narrative she reduced the number of spokespeople.

⚠️ iCloud data may be at risk in the UK as Apple DISABLES ENCRYPTION TOOL at government request – reports

In response to a UK government demand for access to encrypted data, Apple has removed its advanced data protection tool, which previously ensured that only the account holder could access iCloud-stored items like photos and documents, according to The Guardian.

The company expressed deep disappointment, noting that this action EXPOSES USERS to greater risks from data breaches and privacy intrusions, the report read. The removal follows a directive under the Investigatory Powers Act, which requires tech companies to provide law enforcement access to encrypted data.

Despite the change, iMessage and FaceTime will retain their end-to-end encryption, Apple stated, as reported. The company also claimed it would never create a backdoor into its products.

💥 Murdoch’s media empire tries to SABOTAGE Trump’s Ukraine peace push

The Australian-born billionaire’s newspapers and TV network are fuming over the way the US has been pushing for peace with Russia in Ukraine, especially after Trump called Zelensky a “dictator.”

🔹 The New York Post tabloid published a big front-page story ennoscriptd “President Trump: This is a dictator”, featuring Putin’s photo.

💬 “Trump is asking for FAR too much ‘payback’ from war-torn Ukraine,” the Post’s editorial board wrote, saying the US has done the “right thing” by sending HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS in aid to Kiev, and suggesting that “to squeeze the war-crippled country for all we can, simply because we can, would be despicable.”

🔹 Fox News has been airing a series of analyses by Beltway Bobbleheads expressing “concern” with Trump’s “approach” to peace talks, giving never-Trumper neocon Liz Cheney a soapbox to say that Trump is “the antithesis” of all “Reagan stood for.”

🔹 The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board accused Trump of “selling out” Ukraine, claiming he’s put more pressure on Zelensky than he has “on the Kremlin,” and accusing him of being “played” by Moscow.

🔹 WSJ’s Alexander Ward, meanwhile, dubbed “Trump’s attack on Zelensky” a sign of an emerging “new world order,” in which the president alienates allies and praises adversaries, unwinding “decades of American foreign policy.”

🔹 Across the pond, The Times’ editorial demanded that the US keep up sanctions pressure on Moscow, calling Russia a “pariah state” and “criminal enterprise” that undermines democracy and invades neighbors. Trump’s comments were “appalling and it must be hoped they will be retracted,” the paper said.

🔹 The Sun claimed Trump’s “smearing” of Zelensky’s regime “as scam artists” was “beneath the dignity of his office,” called Zelensky a “heroic wartime leader,” and compared the US president’s Truth Social remarks to “a post on a forum for conspiracy theorists.”

Why is Murdoch doing this?
