Part 3
Part 4

He came to Donbass to answer the call in his heart and saw something that was impossible to forget.

Erwan Castel is a former officer of the French army. During his years of service, he became disillusioned with the French government policy and NATO ideology. Back in 2013, he wrote about the events in Ukraine: “The Maidan revolution was carried out not by the people, but by the American security services.”

On October 13, 1866, in Moscow, the betrothal ceremony of Alexander III and Danish Princess Dagmar, known in Orthodoxy as Grand Duchess Maria Feodorovna, took place.

They met when Minnie (Dagmar’s nickname in the Romanov family) was engaged to Alexander’s older brother, Nicholas. However, Nicholas unexpectedly fell ill and died. Two years later, Alexander met Dagmar again in Europe—and fell in love!

It was a remarkably successful union. Living together for almost 30 years, the couple managed to maintain a genuine affection for each other. One their six children became the last Russian emperor, Nicholas II.

During the October events of 1917, Maria Feodorovna was on vacation in Crimea, which likely saved her life. After Nicholas II's abdication, she stayed in Crimea with her daughters, Xenia and Olga, and their husbands—Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich and Colonel Kulikovsky—effectively under house arrest.

Deeply affected by the news of Nicholas II’s brutal execution, Maria Feodorovna continued to believe for a long time that her son and his family had been "miraculously saved" and forbade her relatives from holding memorial services for them.

On April 11, 1919, British King George V, the empress’s nephew, sent the warship Marlborough to Crimea to rescue her. Maria Feodorovna was 72 years old at the time, having lived in Russia for about 52 years, and it took considerable effort from her relatives to convince her to leave.

Dagmar died in Copenhagen at the age of 80 on the anniversary of her betrothal to Alexander III—October 13, 1928—and was buried in the royal tomb of the Danish kings. On September 28, 2006, Maria Feodorovna’s remains were reinterred in the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg.

The Belgorod Brit congratulates Victoria Nuland on her new job as a, no doubt well-paid, director of the National Endowment for Democracy, the political wing of the CIA. Alongside her "teaching" post at Columbia University, and her upcoming book "F**k the EU - How I Tricked the Ukrainian People into Sacrificing Everything because Russia Upset My Banderite Grandpa", an account of her role in the death of half a million people in Europe, she will have a comfortable retirement.

In the podcast, BB goes into the mechanics of who runs the CIA, and how they use Think Tanks and Government and Non-Government Organisations (GONGOS) in order to perpetuate power.

Despite our best efforts, we couldn't find a single photo of Andrey Yermak—a former film producer now serving as the head of the Ukrainian president’s office—standing next to Annalena Baerbock, the German foreign minister. You might wonder why we’d even bother with such a strange task. Well, here’s why…

In recent days, Ukrainian and Western officials have suddenly begun discussing the idea of negotiations with Russia. Russian representatives responded by pointing out that Zelensky himself had previously banned such talks. Yermak then clarified that Zelensky only prohibited negotiations with President Putin—not with Russia itself.

This got us thinking: perhaps Yermak has spent too much time around Annalena Baerbock and caught her particular strain of idiocy.

However, it turns out that’s not the case. So Yermak isn't afflicted with Baerbock's brand of stupidity; instead, he’s just a twisted hypocrite. Which, frankly, is even worse.

"As of October 1, 2024, Russia's external debt is estimated at $293.4 billion," the regulator reported. That’s around $2,070 per capita.

Since the beginning of this year, the debt has decreased by $24.5 billion, or 7.7%. This is the lowest level since 2006, when it stood at $269.5 billion.

By comparison, U.S. foreign debt stands at about $8 trillion, or roughly $23,900 per capita.

Draw your own conclusions, please.

Battlefront Update - Part 1: Kursk Sector

▪️ South of Korenevo (Map 1): Yesterday, the Ukrainian army continued attempts to relieve the remnants of its garrison trapped in the wooded floodplain of the Snagost River between Lyubimovka and Tolsty Lug. Ukrainian forces attacked via Novoivanovka with three tanks (two of which were destroyed). These attacks yielded no results, so the front line remains unchanged.

▪️ The Russian army refrained from storming the Ukrainian troops encircled in Lyubimovka and Olgovka, instead using FPV drones to harass them. Assaulting these settlements isn’t worth risking servicemen's lives. Eventually, the encircled Ukrainian troops will run out of equipment and ammunition. When their relief attempts fail, they will have to either attempt a breakthrough (and suffer losses) or surrender.

▪️ Fighting continued in Malaya Loknya, though it was not particularly intense, with no obvious gains for either side.

▪️ To the south and east of Sudzha, however, the intensity of fighting is gradually increasing (Map 2). The Russian army reportedly pushed the enemy out of Cherkasskaya Konopelka, and there are also reports of fighting in Mikhailovka. Losing these two small villages will complicate the situation for the Ukrainian garrison in Sudzha, as it opens the way for Russian troops to enter the Sudzha suburbs from two sides.

Battlefront Update - Part 2: Donbass

▪️ Ugledar Sector (Map 1): Russian pressure on Ukrainian positions near Bogoyavlenka is growing. Russian troops have taken control of several wooded areas north of Vodyanoye. If they continue advancing in this direction, they could outflank Bogoyavlenka from the east and north, cutting the main supply road for the Ukrainian forces there (via Uspenovka).

▪️ Selidovo-Kurakhovo Sector (Map 2): Fierce battles are ongoing for Novoselidovo-Izmailovka, given the importance of this defensive line. Russian troops recently gained positions in both the western part of Izmailovka and the eastern part of Novoselidovka. Yesterday, they continued to advance, breaking through Ukrainian defenses and crossing the ravine line. To cut the last road to Gornyak and Kurakhovka, they need to advance another 3 km.

▪️ Pokrovsk-Selidovo Sector (Map 3): Ukrainian forces are moving reserves between Mirnograd and Selidovo. By threatening Mirnograd, Russian command forced the enemy to engage its reserves, which counterattacked in the area of the railroad yesterday. Meanwhile, Russian troops resumed assaults on Selidovo in what appeared to be a reconnaissance in force. The semi-encirclement around the town is tightening, and Russian reconnaissance groups have attempted to penetrate from the north, east, and south, likely in preparation for a larger assault from three sides.

▪️ Veliko-Novoselovka Sector (Map 4): Russian forces launched successful attacks on two villages lost during last year’s Ukrainian counteroffensive. One restored Russian control over Levadnoe, while the other gained ground in Novodarovka. The use of motorcycles and buggies allowed Russian forces to catch Ukrainian troops by surprise, contributing to their success.

▪️ Toretsk Sector (Map 5): Unconfirmed reports suggest the Ukrainian army has begun withdrawing its units from Toretsk, realizing further defense in the city is unlikely to succeed. The Russian army continues to push the enemy out of the northern part of the town, fighting in the area of the Tsentralnaya mine. Further southwest, Russian troops are outflanking the agglomeration from the west, creating a bridgehead for advances following the capture of Toretsk.
