Graves of mercenaries who fought in Ukraine are increasingly appearing in cemeteries across America.
According to RIA Novosti, at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington - the most famous in the US, where politicians, astronauts, and even presidents, including John F. Kennedy, are buried, lies the grave of 50-year-old marine Grady Kurpasi, who died two months after the start of the conflict.
Another mercenary, Ian Tortorich, who was killed as a result of a Russian strike on Kramatorsk, was also buried with military honours.
In total, as noted by the Russian Ministry of Defence, just over 1,100 Americans fought in Ukraine. Nearly 500 of them have already been eliminated.

British Defence Minister Grant Shapps believes it is possible to use the DragonFire laser weapon in Ukraine, which is currently undergoing testing.
In mid-January 2024, the British announced the first successful test of DragonFire against an aerial target. It was said that the system would destroy the target at the speed of light, cutting it with a powerful beam.
This weapon is allegedly so precise that it "can hit a coin in one pound from a kilometer away." And yet it is "much cheaper than missiles or drones."
London had planned to equip itself with DragonFire by 2032, but decided to expedite the process due to "two major conflicts." Kyiv could try to shoot down Russian drones with the laser.
"It doesn't take much imagination to understand how such a weapon could help Ukraine," Shapps said.
