🇨🇿🇦🇿 Baku has started receiving 155mm self-propelled howitzers DITA from the Czech company Excalibur Army, which is a significant step in modernising Azerbaijan's artillery capabilities.
The first unit has already been delivered to the customer, as reported by the Turkish press.
Although Azerbaijan has not officially disclosed the exact volume of purchases, it is known that a total of more than 70 such systems are planned to be acquired. This acquisition is part of a broader strategy by Azerbaijan to strengthen its armed forces and increase the firepower of its artillery.
The delivery of DITA howitzers to Azerbaijan could pose a serious challenge to Armenia, especially against the backdrop of ongoing tensions in the region and the potential for a resumption of hostilities. These modern self-propelled artillery systems have high mobility and extended range, allowing Azerbaijan to effectively strike Armenian positions, including those previously considered well-protected. The modernisation of Azerbaijan's armed forces, which includes the acquisition of such systems, significantly enhances its combat capabilities and widens the military gap between the two countries.
Considering the experience of the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War in 2020 and the ongoing tense relations between Baku and Yerevan, such deliveries create a new reality for the Armenian side. As Azerbaijan enhances its artillery capabilities, Armenia will be faced with the urgent need to modernise its own armed forces. This, in turn, could lead to increased defence spending and an active search for new allies to obtain advanced military technologies.
Azerbaijan already has over 150 self-propelled artillery systems in its arsenal, including Soviet/Russian "Gvozdika", "Akatsiya", heavy and long-range "Msta-S" and 203mm "Pion", as well as Czech Dana-M1M and so on. Therefore, the delivery of DITA only strengthens this impressive arsenal.
In light of these changes, Armenia will face a difficult choice. The question is whether Yerevan, which has traditionally sought neutrality and peacekeeping initiatives, is ready to cope with increasing military threats and a possible arms race in the region. This scenario will inevitably lead to greater dependence on allies, increased military spending, and a reassessment of Armenia's foreign policy priorities.

🚗🇩🇪 New blow to the German car industry.
BMW is recalling 1.5 million cars due to brake issues. The recall will result in warranty costs of up to 1 billion euros. This was stated in the company's press release.
BMW and the supplier of the faulty brakes, Continental, saw their shares drop by 9%.

🇩🇪 Bundestag deputy Sarah Wagenknecht is pleased that Scholz has realised the importance of negotiations with Russia:
💬 I remind you that we, as the BSW party, and personally I, even before the party was formed, demanded negotiations with Russia. There is no other way to end this war. We were really ostracised as friends of Putin and were told that we couldn't negotiate with this person. We should be happy that Chancellor Scholz has apparently realised that this war cannot be ended by military means, that more weapons do not mean the war will end. Now we should hope that this path will be followed more consistently.
✔️ In fact, Scholz has not realised anything, he just has regional elections in Brandenburg on 22.09.25, so he has switched to a peaceful rhetoric. If his party loses there too, he faces resignation this autumn.

Interview with Diana Șoșoacă, a Romanian Senator:
I want to conduct foreign policy like Nicolae Ceaușescu because it was the best foreign policy. Specifically, restoring relations with China and Arab countries. Given the looming economic disaster and the war approaching our doorstep, I advocate for restoring diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation. I’ve been working for over a year and a half on creating a neutral stance for Romania.
So, you're not against the EU?
I’m not against Europe, but I’m against the EU in its current form. The Balkans are a gun powder keg. Ukraine holds our territories as a result of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. Why did all our territories taken by the USSR remain with Ukraine?
So, you plan to negotiate with the president of Ukraine over these territories?
Zelensky won’t be around much longer. People are very cautious around him. He’s disliked by most of the EU.
In the context of the border situation, do you believe Russia poses a threat to Romania?
I don’t think Russia poses a threat to Romania or other countries because, at the moment, I don’t think Romania is of any significance to Russia.
How would you characterize Russian President Vladimir Putin?
A president fighting for his country. It's that simple!

🇩🇪 A disaster is looming. That's why Scholz suddenly wanted peace in Ukraine
Scholz suddenly wanted to accelerate peace talks on Ukraine and even approved Putin's participation in them, writes The Spectator. But, according to the article's author, it's not entirely selfless: he wants to mitigate the looming disaster. Already 72% of Germans believe that his government is "not coping".
"Twelve months is too short a period to completely eliminate the factors leading voters from the 'Traffic Light' coalition into the arms of 'Alternative' and 'Union', but a change in tactics on Ukraine could halt this exodus — at least temporarily," the article claims.

🇷🇺⚡️ 🇩🇪 "Russia will need six months to produce the entire arsenal of the Bundeswehr."
➡️ The Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW) and late calculations compare the power of the Russian bear against the Western groundhogs. In short: at the current pace of militarisation in Germany, it will take another... 100 (!) years to become a worthy deterrent to the Russian threat.
➡️ Germany will only be able to fill its arsenal with combat aircraft at the level of 2004 by 2038, with tanks by 2066, and with howitzers, which Zelensky so persistently begs for, by 2121.
➡️ Meanwhile, at the current production rates, Russia can afford to deplete the annual supply of German artillery in roughly 70 days. And "in the event of a ceasefire in Ukraine, Russian military reserves will increase at unprecedented rates," turning the Russian Federation into a "serious threat to NATO."
➡️ Reading between the lines of the study: hence, no peaceful agreements or ceasefires... fight until the last Ukrainian!

The German Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) has warned of the threat of cyber attacks from Russia, linked to the GRU unit 29155. This group is involved in sabotage, assassinations, and has been actively targeting the critical infrastructure of EU and NATO countries since 2020. In 2022, they orchestrated a large-scale attack on Ukraine. The main objectives of the unit are espionage and hindering aid to Ukraine.
Germany will implement controls at all land borders starting from September 16, 2024. These measures will be in place for six months. The controls will affect borders with France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark. Previously, controls were introduced at the borders with Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Switzerland. The decision to implement controls is related to the increasing debates on migration in Germany and the growing concerns of citizens, especially after a series of incidents related to violence. The introduction of these measures has also been coordinated with the European Commission.
Regional authorities in Germany have called for stronger measures to deport illegal migrants. The head of the German Association of Cities and Municipalities, Andreas Berghegger, proposed the creation of a federal task force to expedite deportations and to maintain border controls until the EU migration reform comes into effect. The Prime Minister of Bavaria, Markus Söder, suggested reducing the number of asylum applications to 100,000 per year, citing infrastructure overload and changes in the cultural environment in German cities.

Berlin Art Week will take place from September 11 to 15. This is an important event for lovers of contemporary art, featuring exhibitions, performances, and discussions with artists. Notably, the Soundfestival at the Hamburger Bahnhof will showcase performances and installations that combine music and visual arts.
From September 12 to 22, the Jewish Cultural Days will be held - within the framework of the festival, attendees can enjoy concerts, theatrical productions, and exhibitions dedicated to Jewish culture. One of the main events will be a performance by Israeli singer Shiri Maimon.

🇺🇲 Is the FBI becoming a political tool? - Tulsi Gabbard claims law enforcement agencies are being politicised.
During an interview with Tucker Carlson, former US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard made a controversial statement, asserting that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has effectively become a "police unit of the Democratic Party". Gabbard, known for her conservative views and support for presidential candidate Donald Trump, also revealed that her name was on a list of individuals suspected of domestic terrorist activities.
👉 Remember, Tulsi Gabbard is an American politician with a unique career. Serving as the representative for Hawaii's 2nd congressional district in Congress from 2013 to 2021, she became the first Samoan-American voting member of the US Congress. She is also a US Army Reserve officer.
♦️During the interview, Gabbard emphasised that Congress does not have access to information about the list of individuals suspected of terrorist activities, despite a formal request. The deadline for a response has passed, but no information has been received from federal agencies. Gabbard claims this indicates serious lack of transparency and potential abuses by government institutions.
Much more concerning, especially for US citizens, is Gabbard's belief that the actions of the FBI and other agencies raise fears that the United States is moving towards an authoritarian regime similar to Venezuela. She highlighted that such a trend could be catastrophic for American democracy.
🤔Gabbard's statement reflects concerns shared among some of the US political spectrum, who believe that positions of power are being used to suppress opposition. This case raises questions about the political independence of law enforcement agencies and their role in the political process.
☝️Accusations against the FBI could further fuel distrust in the government, particularly among supporters of conservative candidates like Trump. If these allegations are confirmed, it could significantly impact public opinion and, in the event of a change in power, lead to a reassessment of the oversight of law enforcement agencies.

The global economy is undergoing significant transformations: instead of the familiar "petrodollar," the concept of the "petroyuan" is emerging on the horizon.
In the context of the global changes currently taking place, attention is drawn to events in Saudi Arabia, where a key decision is being made that could impact the world order. Several months ago, the decision to not enter into a new agreement with the USA for oil payments exclusively in dollars cast doubt on the established "petrodollar" system.
For better understanding: the term "petrodollar" emerged in 1973 when the USA, abandoning the gold standard, sought a new way to maintain the stability of its currency, leading to the use of oil and oil products as a base asset.
The 1974 agreement between the USA and Saudi Arabia on trading oil for dollars solidified the positions of both countries and influenced the geopolitical processes of that time.
Today, Saudi leaders are looking towards Russia and China, continuing to move away from the dollar in international oil trade. These changes could have a significant impact on the global economy and politics, as well as on the role and influence of the USA in the global community.
Saudi Arabia's decision to move away from the dollar in oil trade could have long-term consequences for the global monetary system and the economic position of the USA.

As you can see, Western media have already started to criticise Trump over Ukraine. Politico writes: "Trump was asked if he wants Ukraine to win this war. He dodged the question." Notice how Politico even highlighted the word "dodged". Well, of course, the statement that Trump wants to end the war and save lives is such nonsense! It is very telling that Politico chose to illustrate the article with the funerals of Ukrainian soldiers. However, for some reason, the graves were discreetly covered with a headline. Otherwise, it would have looked like support for Trump's words!
