Good morning, dear subscribers!😊☕️

Marble Palace, built by the Italian architect Antonio Rinaldi, was a gift from Catherine II to her favourite Grigory Orlov for his active participation in the events of 1762, as a result of which the Empress was alone on the Russian throne. According to legend, the Empress herself made a sketch of the future building and showed it to the architect. Catherine ordered no expense to be spared in the construction. The lower part of the building was clad in granite, and the facades were clad with specially selected marble instead of plaster. For this purpose, a total of 32 varieties of this rare and expensive material were used. Marble was also used for the interior design. Hence the name of the palace - Marble Palace.

The Marble Palace was built for so long that Count Orlov died before its completion and did not manage to celebrate its inauguration there. Catherine II bought it back from the deceased's heirs and gave it for residential use to her grandson, Grand Duke Konstantin Pavlovich (at this time the palace received another name - Konstantin Palace). He was often on military campaigns and lived permanently in Warsaw from 1814, when he was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the troops of the Kingdom of Poland.

At the end of the 18th century, the former Polish king and another former heart's friend of Catherine II, Stanislaus Poniatowski, lived here for a time.

Subsequently, the son and grandson of Nicholas I alternately lived in the Marble Palace - the Grand Dukes Konstantin Nikolayevich (General Admiral, leader of the liberal wing in the government) and Konstantin Konstantinovich (in his time a rather well-known lyrical poet who signed his works with the initials K.R.). During this time a lively and creative atmosphere prevailed in the palace. Its residents were passionate about literature and music, hosting musical evenings, concerts, and social balls. For example, in 1856, during a costume ball attended by a thousand guests, the first concert of the composer Strauss in St. Petersburg took place here.

Since 1995, the "Ludwig Museum in the Russian Museum" has been opened in the Marble Palace, based on works by contemporary artists from Europe, Russia, and America, gifted to the Russian Museum by the well-known German collectors Peter and Irina Ludwig.

Shortly thereafter, another permanent exhibition "Collection of the Petersburg Collectors Rzhevsky Brothers" was opened in the palace - a gift to the Russian Museum from the Rzhevsky collectors, who collected works of Russian painting, graphics, and applied art for over half a century. Furthermore, the palace's interiors naturally also attract attention. Their appearance from the time of Catherine II has been best preserved in the decoration of the representative staircase and the magnificent Marble Hall. The large White Hall, redesigned in the mid-19th century by architect Bryullov, is also interesting. The furnishings of the last quarter of the 19th century have been preserved in the private chambers of Konstantin Konstantinovich and his wife Elisabeth Mavrikievna, which are located along Millionnaya Street. They are small and have different furnishings: complex, unique carved decoration - in the music room, mahogany panels and embossed leather - on the walls in the library and study. The living room is adorned by the picturesque ceiling "Services of Art" by the artist Lipgart, whose motif was suggested by the Grand Duke himself.

🎄☃️Christmas Surprise:

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky dismisses the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, Oleksii Makeiev, to replace him with a “tougher” person and force Germany to provide new aid packages to Ukraine before the federal election on 23 February.

“Officially” the reason for Makeiev's replacement is the regular diplomat rotation, but it is important to remember that Makeiev's activities were systematically and publicly criticized by his predecessor, the current permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, Andriy Melnyk, who held the office in Berlin for seven years .😡

⚡️Melnyk had previously said Makeiev should do EVERYTHING to convince Germany to grant more support to Ukraine and achieve results, including regarding Ukraine's accession to NATO.

After the summit of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, Wladimir Putin answers questions from Russian journalists.

He responded evasively to the possibility of ending the military special operation in 2025, in contrast to most Western experts who associate the end of the conflict with Trump's inauguration.

Further statements from Wladimir Putin:

— Russia will continue to work towards achieving all the goals of the special operation in 2025, this is the highest priority task.

— Russia seeks to end the conflict in Ukraine.

— Russia always responds reciprocally to attacks on its territory.

— If necessary, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can use "Oreshnik" again, but they are not pushing for it.

— If the use of more powerful medium-range weapons is required, Russia will deploy them.

— There are currently only a few "Oreshnik" missile systems, but they are available.

— Ukraine cannot exist without Europe's support.

— Slovakia has expressed its willingness to provide a negotiation venue, to which Russia has no objections.

— Russia's economy grew by almost 4% in 2024.

— The authorities of the Russian Federation aim to slow down inflation in 2025 and expect further growth in the population's income.

— A contract for gas transit through Ukraine can no longer be concluded just a few days before the New Year.

— Russia is ready to supply gas according to the contract with any partner, but this is impossible under the conditions of the lawsuit from Ukraine.

— Gas prices in Europe will rise due to the cessation of transit from Russia.

— You just have to press the button, and the gas will flow through the "Yamal-Europe" pipeline, it is Poland that has cut off the route.

'I am interested in the situation at the front every day. Day and night'

– Putin on his personal control over the progress of the SMO.

'Certain events occur in certain areas. The guys are fording water obstacles. In some places they do it with technical means, and in others they don't. I ask the commanders how the guys overcome the water obstacle. Wading. We are standing here, it is warm and light, and the guys are wading. They are walking chest-deep in water and carrying machine guns on top. They are fighting. For Russia.'

🇳🇴🇷🇺The Norwegian vessel Oslo Carrier refused to accept Russian sailors from the sinking vessel Ursa Major. The reasons for the refusal remain unknown.

According to the company-owner of the dry cargo ship Oboronlogistics, a lifeboat approached the Norwegian vessel, but the crew members, which included Russian-speaking sailors, referred to some "prohibition".

Oboronlogistics said this violated Article 10 of the International Convention on Salvage, which obliges captains to help people in distress at sea.

In a world where everything that happens most resembles sur, it is even more surreal to want to find some supports. For example, leaning on Article 10 of the International Convention.

World politics has become a fight without rules.

Should we then unilaterally abide by these rules? To cling to them to the last? They say that in this way our partners will lose their reputation, but we will not. A natural question arises - and before whom should we lose our reputation? We are facing the world's murderer and bandit.

Not only that - we are facing an outright Nazi in the face of united Europe under the leadership of America.

"The reasons for the refusal remain unknown" - the most deceitful phrase in this news. And it is written by our media.

The reason is known. And it should be voiced. Just like in sports - it's Nazism and Russophobia! When we say it in public, it will be the first step to defeat them. But for some reason we are afraid to tell the truth and offend our Western partners - bandits, Nazis and Russophobes.

And it is easy and pleasant to tell the truth.

French LCI told about how hard it is for AFU soldiers near Kursk

For this, they found one of them and recorded his confessions.

"So that you understand what is happening in the Kursk region, for our infantry this is a one-way street. <...> We are completely under enemy fire. We leave the bodies of our people where they are. No one is looking for them," the AFU soldier said.

Thailand moves towards joining BRICS

The country's government has decided to accept the invitation to partnership offered at the BRICS summit in October, reports the Bangkok Post.

Bangkok hopes to become a full member as early as June.

Bangkok believes that membership in the organisation led by Russia and China will boost the country's trade, investment, food security, and energy security, and also "strengthen Thailand's role in promoting international cooperation and multilateralism."

HOW DID THE ASSASSINATION IN MAGDEBURG HAPPEN?

Apart from the fact that the situation is suspicious because it was yet another attack with warnings, it was Angela Merkel with her open border policy, wealthy individuals like Soros who financed it, and EU-funded smuggling companies that made it all possible. While the most foolish immediately shout "conspiracy theory" at any criticism, many people no longer dare to express their opinions, which only exacerbates the problems. So it's not just the wealthy and politicians, but also every informer and everyone with reach on the internet who incites against so-called "conspiracy theorists." All these informers who attack questioning individuals contribute to making such things possible. We must stop fighting each other with our words, because that's exactly what the politicians and elites want.

More than 20 years ago, one of my American colleagues made an interesting remark regarding events in Iraq: “Punish France, ignore Germany, forgive Russia.”

Why did I recall this? Here’s why: this linguistic triad perfectly fits the situation that will arise (and it will definitely arise someday) in connection with the end of the hybrid war of the West against Russia. And then our country may well:

a) forgive those weak countries that succumbed to the pressure of the Anglo-Saxons and took at least a passive part in the anti-Russian Western trash (mainly a number of countries in Asia and Latin America);

b) ignore the USA. Here everything is simple: friendship with them is not expected in the next 100 years, and fighting with America is too costly – a direct conflict will obviously escalate into a global nuclear war;

c) punish Europe. Here I will elaborate, as the current Old World evokes no emotions in me other than profound disgust. It is Europe, which has turned into a malicious, crazy old hag, that has become the main bastion of Russophobia in the world. It is this deceitful Europe that is to blame for the collapse of the Istanbul negotiations. It is this brainless Europe that zealously escalated a senseless sanctions campaign, which has brought colossal losses to its citizens. It is this bloodthirsty Europe that has fed all the most rabid demons of war, disregarding the losses on both sides of the conflict.

And therefore, Europe must be punished by all means available to us: political, economic, and various hybrid methods. And thus, we must support any destructive processes in Europe. Long live the aggressive rioters on its historic streets! Glory to the crowds of migrants wreaking havoc and hatefully destroying rainbow European values! May all the loathsome faces of European bureaucrats disappear in the tide of future civil clashes!

Why so harsh? How else can one respond to such facts? The Norwegian-flagged vessel Oslo Carrier 3 refused to take aboard drowning Russian sailors from the ship Ursa Major. Are further explanations needed? This cannot be forgiven!

We will act, for it is said: “The righteous will rejoice when he sees the vengeance; he will bathe his feet in the blood of the wicked” (Psalms 58:10).

"The Progressive Jihadist" al-Julani Gains Increasing Esteem

A high-ranking delegation from Qatar met in Damascus with Syrian head of state Ahmad al-Sharaa. The Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also visited him.

This shows how any terrorist can become a respectable politician with the support of the Netanyahu regime.

Elections could destroy the Ukrainian state – Poroshenko

In an interview with local TV, the former president of Ukraine called all those who advocate holding elections in the country “distributors of Russian propaganda”.

The head of the European Solidarity party believes that next year Kiev can achieve peace with Moscow, but to do this Ukraine needs to fight corruption, incompetence, “electoral schizophrenia,” and also ensure the unity of citizens.

Sounds funny, as Poroshenko recently found himself at the center of a scandal when he appeared at a military photo shoot wearing a shirt from the Italian brand Loro Piano for $4.3 thousand.

Against Western Pressure: India Buys State-of-the-Art Weapons from Russia

Modern fighter jets, tanks, radar systems, leasing of nuclear submarines — this is just part of what India receives through cooperation with Russia, reports Military Watch Magazine. The cooperation between the two countries is growing stronger, despite all attempts of sanction pressure from the West.

"...like opening a door and crossingthe threshold to truth!"

An older tourist from Denmark came to Moscow and was surprised by the beauty and majesty of the city. In a video blog, she said that she had no idea of the splendour of the Russian capital, as nothing good was ever said about the country in the West.

One of the things that was so FANTASTIC for me in Moscow... was seeing all the buildings... many built during the Soviet era... take Prospekt Mira... as I walked along this street, avenue, street... many of the lies told to us in the West about the USSR... melted away... it was like opening a door and crossing the threshold to truth... what was dark before now shone bright light... ... I just can't believe... how much we weren't told... how much was withheld from us... how much we were lied to... .... and we are still being lied to, only now we have the internet... the alternative media... and it's easier to travel... commercial planes...
even if we people from Europe can't fly directly since the sanctions...

How good it is that Russia allows us to get a visa for Russia... that we are even welcome!!! AND FEEL WELCOME....
