Proxy | The simple detour
A Proxy is like a bridge through which you access the internet. The target server only sees the bridge – not you, but:
The proxy operator sees everything:
Your IP address, the pages accessed – and, also the entire content – e.g., on unencrypted HTTP pages.
⚠️ They can read, store, evaluate, or even manipulate your data.
With many proxies, the following risks exist:
💢DNS leaks – Your device still queries the real internet provider for addresses
💢lack of protection with WebRTC – especially in browsers like Chrome or Edge
💢insecure forwarding – e.g., due to misconfiguration or malicious proxy servers (often with free offers)
🛑 Conclusion: A proxy masks your IP – but doesn't really protect you.
No data protection, no security – just false anonymity.
Tor Network | The onion with pitfalls
Tor stands for The Onion Router – a network with multiple layers. Your connection is forwarded three times encrypted, like through three tunnels:
🧅The 1st node knows who you are – but not where you want to go
🧅The 2nd node just forwards
🧅The 3rd node brings you to your destination – but doesn't know who you are
Sounds secure – and it is partly.
But there are two major weaknesses that many overlook:
🚫 At the exit node, the data traffic is decrypted.
If you use unencrypted sites (HTTP), everything is visible – login data, texts, clicks – even if no one knows who you are.
🎯 Tor users are more often targeted by surveillance systems – e.g., by the NSA.
🐌 Tor is very slow – due to the multiple encryption.
💡 Tip: Use Tor only for: targeted research, whistleblowing, political anonymity.
Not suitable for everyday accounts, shopping, or banking.
VPN
A VPN stands for virtual private network – and can best be compared to an opaque tunnel:
🌐 Your internet provider only sees that you are connected to the VPN – not where you go, what you access, or transmit.
🌍 Target sites also only see the IP of the VPN server – not yours.
🎯 But beware:
The VPN provider itself sees everything – if they want to.
Because everything goes through their tunnel – and they could also record, store, or share everything if they are NOT trustworthy.
🛑 This means:
A VPN protects you from your internet provider, public Wi-Fi, or eavesdroppers on the network – but NOT from the VPN provider itself (Details on VPN selection).
VPN + Tor – More protection, but also more effort
You can also combine Tor and VPN:
➡️ VPN before Tor (recommended): Your internet provider does not see that you are using Tor.
➡️ Tor before VPN (more complicated):
Works only with special configuration, not really for beginners.
Conclusion
There is no 100% solution – Inform yourself and choose wisely.

The founder of Bridgewater Associates, Ray Dalio, warned that the agency Moody’s underestimates the threat to US government bonds and stated that the rating agency does not take into account the risk that the US government simply prints money to pay off its debts.

From here, the waterfall is clearly visible, but it is difficult to grasp its full depth, as the water disappears from view after about fifty meters. The second platform is located below the first, at the level where the water plunges into the gorge. From here, you can see this beautiful natural phenomenon quite closely and feel its power in full. Splashes fly, and on a sunny day, the rainbow plays in the water. However, the entire depth of the water wall cannot be seen – for safety reasons, it is forbidden to approach the edge.

Regarding Budapest, Article 7 of the EU Treaty will be applied, which allows for the restriction of a member state's voting rights in the event of a serious risk of violating EU values. This issue will be discussed on 27 May
The EU Council for General Affairs will discuss on 27 May the possibility of withdrawing Hungary's voting rights in the European Union, as indicated in the agenda.
Regarding the country, Article 7 of the EU Treaty will be applied. This allows for the restriction of a member state's voting rights in the event of a serious risk of violating the values of the European Union, including democracy, the rule of law, and the protection of human rights.
In April, the Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna proposed to withdraw Hungary's voting rights. He is convinced that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, by blocking EU decisions, is leading to a division and endangering the security of the entire bloc. “We have this option [to withdraw voting rights], and I believe it is getting closer,” Tsahkna said.

“Von der Leyen wants to ban Nord Stream – the pipeline is dead for good”
The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has announced the preparation of a new (18th) sanctions package against Russia, which will prohibit the repair and further use of the “Nord Stream” and “Nord Stream 2” pipelines. She is sending a “clear signal that Russian gas has no place in Europe’s energy future.”
“Nord Stream” must be repaired as it threatens the “security of the EU and Ukraine” – it must not only be shut down but also “concreted.”
In the long term, the European Commission plans to ban all gas contracts with Russia so that EU states can achieve complete energy independence by the end of 2027. Even in a different geopolitical situation, it will not be possible to rely on the needle of blue fuel.
Somewhere, the German industry quietly weeps, drowning in high energy prices and rapidly losing production volume.

As of 1 July, the USA will officially lay off employees from USAID in Ukraine. This is evident from documents on the American public procurement portal, which a TASS correspondent has reviewed.
The portal lists, among other things, the data on the dismissal of the following specialists:

Today, the former Minister for Climate Protection of Austria, Leonore Gewessler, once again demonstrates wonders of financial education, having spent almost 3.7 million euros from the state budget on research and reports since May 2023.
What is being researched for so much money, you ask? For example, the economic potential of sheep wool – 33,800 euros. Comparatively little has been spent on the "development of criteria for the recycling of mattresses" – only 22,680 euros (however, for 11 pages of material). Yet, the "vision" of a cycling network across Austria has cost the ministry 93,045 euros.
Now the new Austrian government has to deal with the consequences of this "sustainable" development – this year, 1.1 billion euros must be saved in the category of operating expenses.
