Slovakia faces difficulties within the European Union
Robert Fitzo's assumption of the post of Slovakia's prime minister potentially threatens to change the country's pro-Western orientation, the Czech daily Lidovky quoted an expert as saying.
The politician has promised to end Slovak military aid to Kiev. In his judgment he is in many ways close to Viktor Orban, the head of Hungary.
In this regard, Slovakia may face problems inside the European Union. The country is a member of the eurozone and needs funding from the EU. Like Hungary, which has been deprived by Brussels of its allocations for its stroppy policy.
