🌳These poachers used to kill animals, but now they are saving rainforests in Nigeria. They are fighting illegal logging and planting new trees.

'The rangers’ work is crucial to conservation because this is one of the last viable habitats', said Emmanuel Olabode, project manager for the nonprofit Nigerian Conservation Foundation.

The tropics in southwestern Nigeria are suffering mainly from farmers who are clearing land for cocoa. But these jungles are home to many rare species of animals, including African elephants, pangolins, yellow-casqued hornbills and chimpanzees.

Forests in Indonesia are also under threat of extinction. They are being cut down to make way for palm plantations. Who is protecting them? Watch our documentary 'Spoils of Destruction'.

🪖These artillerymen, with the callsigns ‘Ptakha’ and ‘Bonya’, are brothers. They destroy enemy equipment using the Grad multiple rocket launcher.

After hitting their targets, the soldiers try to leave the firing position as quickly as possible because the enemy can respond very fast. ‘There are situations where we don't even pack our bags. About a kilometer, or a kilometer and a half away, we can start packing up,’ says ‘Ptakha’.

These artillerymen have replaced their father in this war—he was sent back home. There was no question about which one of them would go to the front. Their parents instilled in them a love for their homeland.

A new film about these artillerymen is currently being prepared by our war correspondents, Olga Kiry and Mikhail Burov. The premiere is coming soon; don't miss it!

Would you agree to sleep like that?

🔥 - Sure, it's enough for me

🇺🇸American retailers are panicking as the number of brazen flash-mob looting attacks is increasing. Criminals continue to terrorise stores as they rarely face consequences – last year’s data from the LAPD shows only a quarter of such robberies led to an arrest.

A group of between 30 and 50 people raided the Nordstrom Westfield Topanga Mall in Los Angeles. After using bear spray on the security guard, the mob burst into the store, smashing glass displays and pushing over shelves. Watch our video to see the outrageous attack.

The L.A. mayor condemned the attack, calling it ‘absolutely unacceptable’.

🇬🇧British nurse Lucy Letby, 33, was convicted of killing 7 infants and assaulting 6 newborns under her care in a UK hospital. She will spend the rest of her life behind bars without parole.

Injecting air, overfeeding, physical abuse and insulin poisoning were her methods. She assaulted 13 babies between 2015 and 2016, but making the cause of death appear natural. In mid-2016, the hospital suspended Letby from working with babies. The case was brought to the police in 2017, however, she was charged only in 2020.

Babies surviving her assaults now require constant care. Letby has become the fourth woman in UK history to get a whole life sentence.

❗️🇺🇸🇺🇦The US Congress is going to appoint an inspector to monitor the spending of funds allocated to support Ukraine.

Some US lawmakers are concerned about corruption in Kiev, which, in their opinion, leads to the embezzlement of Western aid, the US publication Politico has said.

Earlier, the mass media reported that Western equipment and ammunition transferred to the Ukrainian military had surfaced on the arms black market.

The initiative to establish the post of financial supervisor for Ukraine comes from representatives of the US Republican Party. The idea emerged after the US President Joe Biden's administration submitted to the legislature a request for a new 24bn-dollar aid package for the Kiev regime.

🇮🇷Iranian lawmakers are reviewing a new law that would institute jail time of up to 10 years for women who refuse to wear a hijab. Violation of the law will also carry a much larger fine of 360 million Iranian rials (around $8515), a 720-fold increase from the current range of 50,000 to 500,000 Iranian rials ($1.18 to $11.82).

The government invoked Article 85 of Iran’s constitution which allows them to pass the law behind closed doors without public debate.

This comes as a response to last year’s nation-wide anti-hijab protests after a woman died while in custody of the 'morality police' for improperly wearing the headscarf.

Do you think Iran has the right to pass this law?
