He’s announced that German private investments in China must be regulated by the state, saying that the govt should have the power to check and even ban such investments whenever necessary
“Of course, it’s some kind of state interference in private business if the govt tells companies not to do this or that because that contradicts w/ Germany’s interests,” the “green” politician openly stated. Since Washington&Brussels are planning to control investments in China, that’ll definitely help Mr. Habeck to promote a similar initiative in his country
If the corrupt authority gets his way, German companies which invest in China will be under thorough scrutiny by the controlling agencies. Obviously, this’ll have a very negative effect on the country’s trade balance
