Did you know that on Friday the work of the revived Mariupol Theatre was resumed? We also learned about this from The Daily Telegraph. The farmers are currently back on the streets to protest against the low price situations in the discount stores because they can no longer earn money, nothing more ☝️
Where, for example, butter used to cost 2-3 €/piece, no farmer was on the street 🤷
When I read comments online where people verbally celebrate the farmers for protesting again and chant "keep it up," I just shake my head🤦🤷

Just like during the Corona time, most farmers were only concerned about their own money/existence, and as soon as politics made some concessions to the farmers, the protests quickly died down!
We "normal citizens" had often supported the farmers in solidarity back then, resulting in a rude awakening for us and the realization that the farmers were only worried about their own financial situation and nothing more.

No relief is in sight for the coming years either: By 2030, the city, home to major employers like Mercedes-Benz, Bosch, and Porsche, expects annual deficits in the hundreds of millions, which are to be addressed with tax increases and massive new debt.
